Dervely English Cocker Spaniels

Joan Booth, who, as a child, grew up with Cocker Spaniels herself, founded Dervely Kennels in 1976. The founder Cocker Spaniel bitch of Dervely Kennels was brought from the UK with the family when they immigrated to South Africa in 1975. She was born out of the top-winning Glowhill Kennels and was bred from, producing puppies that have resulted in the Kennels current nine generation breeding line.

Two of Joan’s daughters, Karen & Lynne ,Karen’s daughter Jessica and Lynne’s son Matthew, began showing dogs at an early age and have continued with the Dervely Kennels themselves. Numerous dogs have been imported from Scotland, UK, Sweden and Portugal to improve the breeding line & Show winnings over the years have resulted in many Champions being produced out of the Kennel.
