The Fennec Fox is the smallest in the world and is native to the arid regions of North Africa and Arabia.
Sadly, Zoey lost one of her legs four years ago due to a complicated bite wound. She recovered well after the procedure and has managed her three legs well.
Recently, she came to us with another wound on the side of her body, which Dr Piet had to stitch.
We wish little Zoey a swift recovery.

Yster was rushed to the hospital on a Monday night with a swollen abdomen (tummy) Dr Piet was concerned that Yster might have developed a gastric torsion.
On examination, an abdominal mass was found and the decision was made to operate. Dr Piet removed a huge splenic mass weighing 6.3kg!
We are happy to report that Yster made a full recovery and is doing well.

During a retriever training session, Roco found himself in an unexpected predicament when he accidentally tumbled into a deep hole, concealed by leaves, branches, and barbed wire. Unfortunately, Roco's owner also fell into the hole. Fortunately, the rest of the training group swiftly devised a plan to rescue them. A long ladder was lowered down, and with Roco securely fastened to his rescuer's back, they carefully ascended out of the hole. Miraculously, both Roco and his owner emerged from the ordeal without sustaining any significant injuries. To ensure Roco's well-being, the Rynfield Vet conducted a thorough examination and confirmed that he was in perfect health.

Teddy was attacked by a Pit Bull Terrier, he was fortunate to survive with only a massive skin laceration and flap on his neck
As the Rynfield team first had to assess the viability of the skin flap Teddyโs wound could not be stitched immediately.
Nurses Meghan and Felicity had to do various bandage changes and wound management before Dr Piet could stitch Teddy up over a 10d period.
Teddy was very brave during this time and the whole team grew very fond of him
