We all know just how freezing it was on Friday evening.
This poor girl was either knocked by a car or got terribly injured in some other way. Zastron is out of the area for Bloemfontein SPCA. However, Inspector Lucky Olifant was of the opinion that we could not leave her in pain like that to freeze to death when she would be unable to get up after lying down.
In the challenging weather, Inspector Olifant took on the journey to Zastron to end further suffering for this poor animal.
All animals matter. Thank you to the person who called this in.

MEET THE LATEST SIBLING DUO!
When our Bloemfontein SPCA Border Collie girl, Skye, met her new x Malinois, Australian Cattle dog sister, Ruby, for the first time at their meet and greet, we weren't sure what to expect... BUT, it was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT ON Skye's ARRIVAL AT HER NEW HOME. (and playtime!)
Since arriving at her new home , these two have been inseparable, playing, cuddling, and getting into all sorts of mischief together! It's clear they're meant to be the best of friends!
We are pleased that you were welcomed to your family, and by your new furry sister! You're already bringing so much joy and love to your new family!

From *ZERO* to *HERO*
Like they usually there's always light at the end of the tunnel and in this time around the light was the family of Maria Nieuwoudt that came through to bring light, joy, happiness and hope to Bo-Jack.
It is always an mixed emotion to the Bloemfontein SPCA staff members to witness happy endings of animals that came through our gates from difficult backgrounds. Many of you might remember Bo-Jack as he was recently rescued by the Bloemfontein SPCA inspectorate team from being kept on a short chain for most of his life, the staff at the Bloemfontein SPCA worked really hard to ensure that Bo-Jack gets a forever loving home.
We really wish Bo-Jack and the family of Maria Nieuwoudt a forever companionship and all the best.
The Bloemfontein SPCA inspectorate team will be at the Bloemshow today, inspecting all the Ovine today! Come and give us a friendly hello and a wave!
