Teddy came to us as a stray, but she’s quickly stolen every heart at the shelter with her soft, playful nature and those gorgeous brindle markings. 💕

This sweet Africanus girl is around 5 to 6 months old and full of love to give. She adores cuddles, loves her treats, and walks beautifully on a leash. Teddy is also great with children and would make a wonderful family companion.🐕

Despite her rough start, Teddy is gentle, affectionate, and ready to start her new life with a family who will love her as much as she’ll love them.

🚨 Animal Cruelty Case: Hit with a Panga 🚨

The Bloemfontein SPCA responded to yet another heartbreaking case of animal cruelty.
The owner of a female Pitbull reached out to us after his dog was brutally attacked and struck with a panga by a community member.

Our team responded immediately. The suspect was swiftly arrested, and charges of animal cruelty have been laid.

The injured dog was rushed to a veterinarian where she received the urgent medical care she needed.

💔 Animal cruelty will not be tolerated.
The Bloemfontein SPCA is committed to taking firm action to ensure justice is served and to protect the voiceless.

🚨 EMERGENCY RESPONSE: COW RESCUE IN THABA-NCHU 🚨

The Bloemfontein SPCA responded to yet another heartbreaking case — a cow had fallen into a manhole drain in Thaba-Nchu.

After receiving an urgent call from a concerned community member, our team rushed to the scene. Upon arrival, we found the cow trapped and stuck in the manhole. With the incredible help of the local community, we managed to pull the cow out.

Sadly, despite everyone's best efforts, the cow had already sustained severe injuries — both front legs were broken. Due to the extent of the injuries and the immense pain the animal was in, the humane decision had to be made to relieve it from further suffering. 💔

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Thaba-Nchu community for their compassion, quick response, and hands-on assistance during the rescue. Your support makes a difference. 🙏🐄
