A Day in Rescue – Hard Work, But Worth Every Second!

Today was one for the books! 💪🐾

✔ 6 families came to meet some of our incredible dogs.
✔ 5 home inspections to ensure our rescues go to the best homes.
✔ 2 meet and greets—watching connections form is always so special.
✔ 6 dogs also left dor their forever homes 😭🩵
✔ Feeding over 30 dogs three times today—full bellies, happy tails!
✔ Deep cleaning of 8 kennels because every dog deserves a clean space.
✔ A quick shopping trip to stock up on cleaning supplies for Antonio for the week.
✔ A well-deserved milkshake because, let’s be honest, rescue work is non-stop!

And now, with everyone loaded up, we’re finally headed back to the farm in Bela Bela—just a quick two-hour drive home. 🚗💨

I wouldn’t trade this life for anything! It’s exhausting, messy, and sometimes overwhelming, but seeing dogs find their forever homes makes it all worth it. ❤️

A massive thank you to Gerald Morris for stepping in and taking two pups for a meet and greet when I was absolutely drained! 😂

These adorable 8-week-old puppies are looking for their forever families! ❤️

🐶 Mom was a tiny Pitbull
❓ Dad is unknown, but we suspect he might have been a small Jack Russell
⚖ All weigh between 1.1kg - 1.4kg, and we highly doubt they will get big
🩵 5 Males - 1 male has been adopted
💗1 Female had been adopted

These pups come from another rescue that confirmed mom’s breed, but dad was nowhere to be found when they were collected.

These sweet babies are struggling with a skin condition and will be seen by our vet again on Monday. Hopefully, with the right treatment, we can get them healthy and ready for their forever homes as soon as possible.

The fear in her eyes when she arrived shattered me. But despite everything, she is already 100 times better than she was just three days ago—proof that love and kindness can heal even the deepest wounds. After a previously adopted puppy tested positive for parvo, we made the decision to move all the pups to the farm for their safety and wellbeing. And let me tell you—they are absolutely loving it! 🐶💚 🌟 About These Adorable Babies: •Small breeds with big personalities—some are seriously cheeky! •They’re having a blast running around and being socialized with all kinds of animals. •They’ll only be available after their 2nd vaccination (in 2 weeks) and a 4th parvo test to ensure they’re completely healthy and ready for their forever homes. 📍 Currently in Bela Bela, but we’ll bring them to Boksburg for adoption, meet-and-greets or for adopters to collect their new family member.
