Please take Note!

The Brakpan SPCA will be closed to the public on Tuesday the 12th of November 2024.

We need to make use of all the staff we got to get stuck in and sort out our storage facilities to ensure that nothing gets damaged with the rains expected.

Because our animals take priority and we need the kennel staff to focus on their care, the office staff will be put to use to ensure we carry out this much needed spring clean in the pound and storage areas..

We also have a list of up coming projects, and we need to prepare for this urgently.

We do apologise for this sudden notice, however, this is long overdue and very important to ensure the cleanliness and safety of animals and staff alike.

Obviously we will be available for any crisis, emergency and of course we will not turn away any animals either. Complaints can still be laid using the emergency contact number 083 696 9052.

The office will reopen on Wednesday as per usual.

Thank you for understanding and we look forward to soon share our projects we have planned.

What a phenomenal day!!! We salute the outstanding team at SecurElect PTY LTD for their remarkable Open Day event, partnered with Chuck Kaaswors, which brought our community together in a celebration of kindness.

The charitable spirit of EG Garments, the Vroue Landbou Unie and the community was evident in the generous donations of dog and cat food. THANK YOU!!!

As our community converged, the energy was infectious, supporting the Brakpan SPCA and local businesses.

DanievdW - musiek's superb sound took the event to new levels.

The charming dolphin plush toys created by EG Garments captivated children's hearts, while the auction of two special ones further benefited the SPCA.

Delectable lekker wors rolls, irresistible mini donuts, and slushies treated everyone to a delightful experience.

Missing this event meant missing a chance to be part of something special.

The Brakpan SPCA is profoundly grateful for today's remarkable display of support. We cherished every moment.

The start of exciting changes.

After a very long year, where we have not allowed Boarding at our SPCA, just due to the state of the kennels, we have finally got some amazing and exciting news.

These are the current state of the kennels that we usually invite precious babies to board with us over the festive season. Today we will be starting much needed renovations so that we can be of service this festive season.

With the help if some amazing and generous sponsors, who don't want us to mention them 😉, they have started to make this a reality by supplying over R5000 worth of materials to get these kennels looking fab again.

Together with our Handman, Tinus Jordaan, from DIY Maintenance, our kennels will be getting the upgrades they deserve. We are super excited. So keep your eyes open for these updates and we will soon reopen our boarding facilities for doggies in no time.

Hold onto your hats, folks! The Brakpan SPCA is doing a happy dance, and it’s all thanks to YOU! With the superhero squad of our committee, staff, volunteers, and the fabulous gang at Siyabonga Africa, we pulled off an incredible feat! On Saturday, November 2, 2024, we raked in over R12,000!

We're beyond grateful for our community's huge hearts and generosity. Saturday's fundraising fun was no surprise, but it still blew us away! A massive shoutout to everyone who answered our call, stopped by for a chat, and tossed a donation our way. And let’s not forget those who snagged a pamphlet for our upcoming open day on Saturday the 9th of November 2024, with SecurElect PTY LTD and Chuck Kaaswors—bringing even more assistance and awareness to our SPCA. Who knew helping could be this much fun?

We also owe a huge thank you to the rockstar staff at 3at1 Mall at Carnival for whipping up some eye-catching signs to help us shine even brighter. Talk about service with a smile and top-notch products!

So, here’s to our amazing community and committee—your support made this all possible! You’re the real MVPs!

This will be his 2nd Brakpan SPCA Adoption Family Day, we are hoping it will be the one that gets him a family.
