Dear Supporters,
We regret to inform you that the Brakpan SPCA is currently without a working vehicle. Our bakkie has been out of service for some time and is still undergoing repairs. Unfortunately, our reliable Figo has also broken down and is now in the shop being repaired.
We are doing everything we can to resolve this situation and expect to be back on the road within the next week. In the meantime, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate this challenging period.
If you are able, please assist us by bringing in any unwanted animals or strays you may encounter to our premises. Your support during this time is invaluable, and we truly appreciate your help in ensuring the well-being of the animals in our care.

This past Saturday, the 1313 hosted an amazing Jol in support of the animals at the Brakpan SPCA. We are incredibly grateful to the club and its members for their generosity and community spirit.
The event was a tremendous success, raising much-needed donations of food to help care for our animals, as well as a generous financial contribution of R1310 towards our ongoing financial obligations. These contributions will go a long way in ensuring that we can continue to provide care, shelter, and love to the animals who need it most.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in making this event such a success. Especially to Gerhard and Irisma for taking the lead and risking it all to help our animals. Your support allows us to keep doing the important work we do for the animals in our care.

Bidding adieu is always a bittersweet dance. It's pure magic witnessing our furry pals trot off into the sunset with their new forever families.
Hats off to these wonderful souls for choosing adoption over a shopping spree, showering these fluffy buddies with a fresh dose of love and hope.

Let's meet Wiggly Rosie.
Rosie serves as a poignant reminder that neglect and abandonment can affect all types of dogs, not just mixed breeds. Her situation highlights that age, color, or breed are not the issue; it is the human factor that is crucial.
When Rosie arrived, she was abandoned, neglected, covered in fleas, and suffering from severe eye infections. Due to her compromised vision, she was extremely frightened and immediately sought shelter, cowering in fear.
After a soothing bath and some much-needed care, Rosie has started to show signs of improvement and is slowly emerging from her shell. We are now focused on getting her the necessary treatment and sterilization promptly.
