Our Jill has been waiting for a very long time, loving her time in the office, with Pikkie, Tinkie and Susan, but she would love to play fetch and run around a big garden with a family.

Jill embarked on a hilltop stroll, only to find herself playing hide-and-seek with the path! But fear not, we swooped in like heroes and brought her back to safety. Now she's primed for her next big adventure, surrounded by a loving family ready to shower her with affection!🌟

Do you remember these two guys? Laurel & Hardy? They came in looking absolutely shocking. Obviously Meet The Fluffers came in and gave them a full make over.

Well these two boys are still waiting patiently. Such beautiful babies, we just cannot believe it.

Laurel and his buddy Hardy set off on a wild treasure hunt, uncovering heaps of awesome loot—only to realize they were totally lost on the way back! All tangled up and feeling like castaways, they were swooped in and saved by the heroic Team Brakpan!

Laurel and Hardy are both males, Maltese tyoes of about 6 years old.

Pikkie is enjoying his time in the office but is truly searching for his forever home. Pikkie is one of our babies who has been waiting at his chance since last year. He may be a senior, but he is just truly beautiful. Enjoy his story and some more photos below.

This is Pikkie, a tender-hearted little boy whose world was turned upsede down when his beloved mommy fell ill and could no longer care for him. Confused and uncertain, this brave little guy donned a courageous face, determined to embrace whatever life bestowed upon him. Though he missed his mother deeply, he understood that her choices were born from love, as she wished nothing but the best for him - a gift she could no longer provide.

Pikkie is a male, Maltese of about 10 years old.

Tinkie has been waiting on adoption for a very long time now. Loving her office position, but would love to be cuddled in a home.

Tiny Tinkie waltzed into our pound as a mysterious stray on June 29, 2024, carrying nothing but her cuteness and a sprinkle of shyness! Can you believe nobody claimed this precious cuddlebug? I mean, how is that even possible? Where’s the fan club for this adorable little lady? She’s got love to spare, and we’re on a mission to find her the fabulous forever home she truly deserves!

🌟 Brakpan SPCA Update – Moving Forward Together! 🌟

This past week has been a challenging one for us at Brakpan SPCA, but we want to reassure our community that we are still here, still dedicated, and still working hard for the animals in our care.

We had to temporarily close our doors to the public to tackle some operational challenges, including training our new office administrator, Lienkie, and adjusting to staff shortages in our kennels. We’re also still trying to source a crucial part to get our Bantam Bakkie back on the road, which has added to the pressure on our team. This brief closure allowed our staff to regroup and adapt to the changes, ensuring we continue providing the best care possible.

☆ Reopening on Monday! (3 February 2025) 1We are excited to welcome you back.

☆ Meet Lienkie! She has been undergoing training, and while she’ll learn even more once we’re fully operational, we know she’ll do her best to serve our community with kindness and dedication.

☆ New adoption posts coming soon! Thanks to the incredible team from Meet The Fluffers, our furry friends will be getting some pampering on Monday morning – stay tuned!

Through it all, we never closed our doors to animals in need. Every single day, we were at the pound ensuring they received the care they deserve.

📢 Important Notice: Temporary Closure of Brakpan SPCA Office and Pound 📢

Dear Community,

Due to ongoing challenges, including staff shortages and operational difficulties, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close our office and pound to the public.

During this time:

All services, including vaccinations, dipping, and sterilizations, are suspended until further notice.

If you are part of our SteriPlan or mid-vaccination schedule, please contact us to arrange a booking. No walk-ins will be accepted.

We will continue to handle cruelty complaints and the intake of stray and unwanted animals.

Urgent Appeal for Cat & Kitten Food

Dear Brakpan community,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts and an urgent plea for help. Our SPCA is completely out of dry cat and kitten food, and our furry friends are relying on us—and on your kindness.

We understand January has been a tough month for many, but even a small contribution can make a world of difference. If each of us gives just a little, together we can fill those empty bowls and bring comfort to these innocent souls.

Our doors are open today until 12:00, and we can arrange after-hours drop-offs or deliveries to make it as easy as possible for you to help. Simply contact us at 083 696 9052 to make arrangements.
