Hantam Pet Paws is a small, animal outreach run by Mariechen Du Toit, situated in the

rural Northern Cape of South Africa. With no SPCA or established animal welfare organisations in the area, Mariechen has taken it upon herself to help the animals in some of the most impoverished areas herself. Relying soley on friends and family for donations of dog and cat food and assistance with vet bills, Mariechen works tirelessly going into the rural areas to feed and rescue animals. Currently Mariechen provides shelter at her home for 40 dogs and never turns a dog away. Often faced with heartbreaking scenes of neglect, starvation and often just blatant cruelty, Mariechen continues every day to provide some hope for these owners. Her help and advice is not always accepted and the owners of these neglected dogs can often be verbally and physically abusive, yet she carries on going into these often unwelcome situations to make sure these dogs and cats have a meal and receive medical attention where needed

Food and vet bills are huge and any contribution, no matter how small is urgently needed for this selfless work to continue

Looking for sponsor for Bella. Her owner tried to get rid of her by wanting to dump her. She is still very young and already had pups. She was left at the Vet and was told that she must stay there untill I can find her a home. Really!!

Bella is currently in fostercare but will go up for adoption as soon as she is steried. She is the most loving baby and full of love.

❗️URGENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED❗️
I never ask for help but this time I really need some. Jasper was adopted at a shelter in CT. He was loved and spoiled rotten by his mommy. Everything was just fine with Jasper, his friend and the new baby.
Now that the baby is a toddler, Jasper has become afraid of her. He associates busy hands and feet with previous trauma and nipped the toddler. His poor owner did everything to keep him. They spend lots of money for assessments etc, but were informed that he needs to be rehomed in a home without small children.
Today I had to fetch him to put him in foster care. On my way I stopped at a kennel and poor Jasper was totally stressed out. He could not stand the barking of all the other dogs. I saw the fear in his eyes.
Arriving at the foster he became very stressed as there were 7 other dogs on the property. He was petrified, nipped at the one dog to protect himself. He jumped back into my bakkie and started to shiver and vomit non stop. It broke my heart to leave him there.
Is there anyone who can foster him, he really is a sweet loving dog whose whole world has been turned upside down. He is fine with other dogs but not more than 3 and older children. He is not fond of cats.
Please help me to find him a loving foster home.

😭Princess was found in this terrible state by my friend. She was badly burned by an idiot. Princess is currently in fostercare but I need to remove her tomorrow as she is not fond of cats. I found her a stunning new fostermom to help her with the healing. As we all know to treat an animal like this, there are costs involved. Fostermom will treat Princess herself as she was a nurse.

She need financial help for Jellonet. R186 for ten treatments. Please help us to heal this special girl.
