ty is an old Cape Dutch style guest house based in Golden Acre, Somerset West. Originally the 18th Century farmhouse was part of the Gloetenberg estate when this gem of an area was split into four farms. We are just around the corner from the beautiful wine estates, Erinvale, Vergelegen and Lourensford. The property which is elegantly set amongst beautiful yellowwood trees, has a stunning rear garden overlooking the Helderberg Nature Reserve and Hottentots Holland mountains and with views towards the stunning False Bay in the indigenous front garden. You will not see a cage anywhere near our property – who wants to leave their cat in a small cage whilst you go on holiday? Our guest cats get their own very large bedrooms with comfortable sleeping areas, a sofa and lots of luxuries – perfect for the cat that deserves a little extra pampering. The Cat Suites:
We have four luxury bedroom suites available with ensuite bathrooms – the Yellowwood room, the Camphor Library, the Pomegranate room and the Platanus room, each looking out onto the respective trees with plenty of natural light and each one individually appointed to enhance its unique historical character. All of our suites can accommodate cats from one household. These suites fill up fast, so be sure to secure your booking well in advance. Bedding, Toys and Personal Belongings:
If you have any items you'd like to bring along such as a bed, toys, or food, feel free to drop it off along with your pet! We'll make sure to take note so that your furry friend gets his or her personal belongings and that they're returned to you at the end of their stay. Diet:
If your pet requires special treatment, such as specific feeding instructions or medication, we will make sure that it is carefully adhered to. We provide Royal Canin Fit 32 cat biscuits. On Sundays we relax with some background jazz music and a roast chicken dinner and on Christmas Day we of course have a few festive jingles and a roast turkey. If your cat has specific requirements, then please bring their food along or advise us to add to your hotel bill and we will ensure they eat their favourite foods. The Day:
Morning: After a great nights sleep, the day starts with breakfast in bed brought to the room on a silver platter.with carefully selected cuisine according to your cats wishes. Water bowls are replaced with fresh water. The drapes are opened to bring in lots of fresh and natural light. Mid-morning: Rooms are quietly cleaned and beds made so that your cat starts the day fresh. Lunch and Afternoon: Relaxing classical music designed to enhance your cats mood is played during the day. If your cat has requested lunch then a snack can be offered at any time. We spend time with your cat during the day grooming, playing, hugs and stroking to ensure that they get special attention and feel loved. We are happy to send you updates via Whatsapp which may include pictures of your cat having fun on their relaxing holiday. Walks: We are happy to take your cat on a walk on cat lead through the beautiful garden so that they can sniff around and smell the flowers. Roaming Time: Each cat is given an opportunity to safely explore around the inside of the hotel during their stay with us. We don’t mix cats from different households. Dinner: Dinner is served according to our guests wishes. Soft evening lighting is turned on to ensure a lovely evening ambience. On Sundays then we cook roast chicken for our guests. We cater for even the most discerning palates so if you have left special requests for your kitty then we will happily accommodate this. On special occasions such as Christmas Day then we serve roast turkey with optional giblets (a guest favourite). Bedtime Turn-down service: We visit all our guests before bedtime to say goodnight and ensure their beds are turned, the drapes are pulled and we put out the lights to ensure a most comfortable nights sleep. During the night: The property is fully alarmed and protected by a top security company. The hoteliers sleep in the property so will periodically check in on your cat to ensure they are having a good nights sleep. General Notes:
Litter trays are kept in the suites ensuite bathroom. They are checked on and carefully cleaned throughout the day. All rooms have large sash windows so bird and squirrel observing is a fun part of the day. Boarding Policies:
Here at Heritage Cat Hotel, we do our best to keep your pets healthy and happy. Here's a few important policies to note about our cat hotel that will make your pets stay a better experience for both you and your furry friend.

• Boarding is charged by the night, checkout is 10:00a.m.
• Extended stay until 17:00. is available at a rate of R200/suite.
• We can not accommodate intact guests – sterilised/neutered cats only.
• Please ensure your cat is vaccinated with HCP (ask for the core 3 in 1 vaccine) which guards against Herpes, Calici and Panleukopenia
• Please bring your cats vaccination card.
• Please ensure your cat is dewormed and deflead before visiting us.
• To ensure our guest suites stay nice for all our cat guests then we are only able to welcome cats that are fully litter trained and do not spray.
• In the event that your cat gets sick during their stay with us then we will contact you and arrange for us to take your cat to our vet, or your vet if it is within 10kms of the hotel. Any vet bills will be for your account. Pick-Up And Drop-Off:
Knowing when to pick up or drop off your pet is an important part of making sure that their stay is enjoyable. Here are the times you can arrange to stop by over the week, during the weekend, and on holidays.

• Monday to Saturday – 09:00 – 11:00 and 16:00-17:00
• Sunday – 10:00-11:00 and 16:00-17:00
• Holidays charged at additional R200 (e.g. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day, Good Friday) – 09:00 – 11:00

Cat Chauffeur Door to Door Service:
We offer a Chauffeured cat collection and return service from your home address. This is charged at R50 plus R8/km (distance calculated from your address to the Heritage Cat Hotel address). Pricing:
Each luxury cat suite is from R250/night which accommodates up to 2 cats from the same household. The suite is for the exclusive use of your cats from the same household. If you have more cats then we can accommodate additional cats at R100/night in the same suite or in their own suite at R250/night. There is a minimum 5 night booking, since each suite is thoroughly cleaned and serviced between each stay. Can I extend the stay? Yes you can, availability permitting. Please let us know timeously, and we will extend your booking. You will receive an e-mail with the new dates and additional cost required, which must be settled before the extension commences.
