What’s in your dog’s bowl matters! 🐕✨ Here’s what to look for on the ingredients list to make the best decision for your furry friend:
1️⃣ Quality Protein: Look for NAMED sources like black soldier fly larvae, ostrich, or lamb. 🚫 Avoid vague terms like "meat meal," "by-products," or "fish meal," which often include low-grade, less digestible parts. The best protein comes from animals raised on a clean diet, free from antibiotics and hormones.
2️⃣ Healthy Fats: Omega-3 and omega-6 support a sharp mind and glossy coat. 🧠 Find these in marine algae, coconut oil, flaxseeds, and non-GMO canola oil. 🥥🌿 Stay away from rendered animal fats or fats labeled generically, as they may be lower in quality and heavily processed.
3️⃣ Complex Carbs: Gluten-free grains like millet and sorghum and vegetables like sweet potato provide sustained energy and are easy on tummies. 🌾🍠 Avoid cheap fillers like corn/maize, wheat or soy, which offer little nutritional value and may cause digestive issues. 🚫
4️⃣ Vitamins & Minerals: Ensure your dog eats a complete, balanced diet packed with nutrients to support overall health.
5️⃣ No Harmful Additives: Avoid foods with sugar, artificial colours, flavours, and fillers—your pup deserves better! 🚫 Skip options with artificial preservatives or excessive salt, which can harm your dog over time.
💚 A healthy dog is a happy dog! 🐶🦴
