Big things are on the ahead on the trail… ⛰️🐕

South Hound started as a passion project—born from a love of adventure, the open trail, and the unbreakable bond we share with our dogs. For years, we’ve built this little brand with heart, designing gear to help you and your hounds explore more, roam further, and adventure better. 🌍🐕

But every journey leads somewhere, and ours is about to take a new turn. We can’t spill the details just yet, but trust us… it’s all about bringing even more joy, adventure, and well-being to the dogs we love.

We’re beyond grateful for this amazing pack that has supported us every step of the way, and we can’t wait to share what’s next. Stay tuned… 👀✨

We interrupt our regular programming… Finch wanted to share that she achieved her Trick dog status: Elementary Level 🥇
all her tricks are powered by her love of beef training treats

For those of you who know Finch, or for those of you who have a dog who also can sometimes find the world a little overwhelming, you’ll know how much work it takes to help them feel more confident and less reactive. Tricks have been a huge win for us. They give her quick mind something to do, something to focus on and build the trust between us. The KUSA trick dog journey has been an amazingly validating experience ☺️ bring on the next level! Even if the rosette is almost as big as her and does make her look a lot like a SAPS recruit 🤭

As you all know, Finch is not a fan of the sky water but shes even more worried about her furiends who maybe don’t have coats, blankets to keep them warm.

It’s been ages! We miss you all!!

Sorry for the silence…
it’s a combination of the primary hustle needing more of our time (South Hound is still our side hustle) &
the fact that our adventure hound has been on a decompression protocol for the past few months. Many of you know she struggles with her reactivity so we’re working on a new, slow and steady, plan where we keep her out of the spaces where she is likely to run into other dogs/people and do more at home training/games together… in an effort to bring her back to baseline. Effectively shrinking her world in the short term, to grow it again in the long term. It’s been a learning journey for all of us and I’m so thankful to have Kieron from as our partner for this particular adventure!

But we’re still here!! Love to all y’all in our pack.
