2 poles reroped & the scoop bed relined & this scratch post is Purrfect for a good few more years
When it's your cats favorite snoozing spot - they fight over who gets it first - then it would be a tragedy to throw it out
Master Jack Sparrow claimed it immediately upon arrival & Mr Grey was supervisor when work commenced

Definitely worth revamping as a super sturdy scratch tower that had definitely seen better days but is were this girl eats her meals as well as enjoys a good stretch & scratch & some snoozing sessions

Do cats actually love their owners?
To the extent that any animal can feel love (a question for the philosophers), almost certainly.

The best, current research tends to suggest that cats largely see their human family as big, hairless cats. And they treat their household like those cats do in the wild, as a “cat colony” in which the members care for each other.

This is why cats scratch your furniture - particulary the couch or your bed base as its somewhere you spend a good amount of your time.
They are .marking' this as part of their territory as you need to kept safe within it & the whole world must know that

Its NOT bad behaviour - its natural
Providing good sturdy tall scratch posts close by means they can use these instead.
So understand that scratch post in a 'dead' corner of the home probably wont get used - as you dont spend time there

When a reroping comes in everyone has to check it out, sniff & try it for comfort
Lord Muggs was getting a bit too comfy so got down to work & it's back with its owner tonight
A really great, sturdy scratch post so worth having reroped

Place scratching posts where your cat spends the most time. If your cat scratches the furniture, put posts next to those objects to provide a better option. In a multicat home, have several scratching posts scattered around.

Scratch post revamps do sometimes take a bit longer than planned but who can deny a cat who wants to help

Your cat/s have invested time & energy into scenting their scratch post but now it's looking really tatty
Don't throw it out - recarpet or rerope it & it will look as good as you yet some of that all important scent will still remain

Hello my friend Toby - yes I know him well as he was fostered at our house. We had loads of fun & games together for 8 weeks
His new MeoWmee sent these pics & said he really sniffed about - was it me Master Jack Sparrow he could smell as I do confess I had a climb on it before it left. After all I'm chief quality controller

This gorheous lady was so very happy to have her scratch post back
No action shots but she was giving it a good scratch within seconds of seeing it again whilst I admired her beauty
