Thank you for choosing comFURt groom-IN!!

In the mean time, while we wait for your appointment to arrive i would like to inform you of how things work with comFURt groom-IN,

Firstly please be aware that even though we are a mobile unit, we decided that we will not be making use of a grooming trailor, and this is all for the benefit of your fluffy friends :).

(Taking into consideration that most pets have had unfortunate experiences in parlours and trailors, so what we do is completely different as we provide the grooming service in a comfortable envirnment where they will not just feel at home but actually be at home, where they feel most comfuuurtable:))

We do however have all the equipment necessary to complete the groom requested by you. Just to avoid any germ spreading we ask for your pets towel:)

When we arrive we would just need access to an area on your property,either somewhere in your yard(of your choice) or house(bathroom preferrably) where we would be given access to a water as well as an electrical supply(we do have a 10 m extention.

Also please note we make sure each pet gets a chance to be given a chance so some grooms take a bit longer than others, the time we set for your appointment may vary however we will keep you informed and updated.

With loads of experience in our fields of service, Jamie handles all Furparent availability and appointment needs & Jaco (PAWSTAR AND NPGASA qualified pet groomer since 2017) handles all Furchild grooming needs, and as a team, we have surprised many and made sure we can assist where ever possible!

A tail of two tails.
Once upon a time there were 2 groomers.
Both had a matted dog to get through.
Both clients wanted a nice fluffy puppy.

One groomer advised the client that due to the level of matting there is an extra charge and its going to be shaved off. No fluffy coat. It's going n**e.
But if we book in today for the next groom we can do what you asked at a rate $30 cheaper than today's, next time.
Client said go ahead and we won't book in until we are ready. (And the dog is a pelted mess again)
One groomer did the job charged accordingly and smiled and said hope we have room to fit you in next time :-)

The other groomer used all the considrable skills they have accumulated, to detangle and deshed the matted mess. Spending much longer on the pup than normal preclip done. Wash dry all done.
Getting the last of the knots out a slip happened and a tail got a not insignificant nick.
The tail got shaved. The bleeding was stopped. Client was notified and the groom remains unpaid. A vet bill to come that wipes out basically today's earnings.

S**t happens right? But what if you'd just shaved it you'd be a hell of a lot better off.

Moral of the story........just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should. Is it worth risking a vet trip and today's income for a rubbish client?
Funny that a good regular client doesn't need the dematting skills. But rubbish ones do.
