CAPE TOWN - WE ARE LOSING OUR HOME
Animal and Boerboel lovers It is with a heavy heart that we write this post today. We have been rescuing and rehoming Boerboels and Boerboel Crossbreeds for 5 years in South Africa. For our Birthday (23 Sept) we need your help!
😔We have been given notice to move by latest January as the farm has been sold and the new owners will no longer be accommodating us on the farm. We have been renting space from an existing kennels since July 2021 so we don't own all of the facility and materials so we most likely cannot move it all with us.
🗓️This means we have less than 4 months to find a new premises that we can move our dogs to and build kennels/camps. We currently have 15 dogs in our care of who which we need to try and find homes for, as the less dogs we have in our care when we move the easier the move will be.
🧱🏗️We will need to erect new camps and kennels for all the dogs in our care so we will be needing some building supplies and material:
- Vibrecrete slabs & poles
- Wooden poles (2.4m)
- 50x50mm welded mesh fencing (1.8m)
- Paving slabs/ concrete
- Wooden pallets
- Cement
- Roof sheets
- Wendy house
💧We need at least 2500m2 of land and it can be completely vacant BUT water is essential and we cannot do without especially with summer coming up we have big dogs and they drink a lot of water our breed also loves water so they love to lounge in their shell pools (the ones that fit in them😂) so we cannot have a shortage of water.
📍We are currently situated in Klapmuts so anywhere between Klapmuts and Brackenfell is preferred as all our volunteers reside in the Northern Suburbs.
🙏🏽Please let us know if you can accommodate us we are breed specific for those who do not know so all our dogs are kept separately and socialized under supervision. We never have more dogs than our capacity of 15 as that is the amount of dogs we can properly tend to, to fulfill all their needs.
