As Huskies do, Draco also “let’s himself out of the yard” by jumping over the (high) walls. Tying him up didn’t help either, as he still jumped and would then nearly hang himself. Fortunately his home is in a place where there is enough space for him to move around outside, and him not being an aggressive dog, no one ever complained about his presence.
However, recently something did happen. No one is sure exactly what could have happened. It could be the jumping 🤷🏼‍♀️ or someone could have assaulted him - for no reason at all 🤷🏼‍♀️ or he could have sustained a knock from a vehicle 🤷🏼‍♀️ or it could be something entirely different 🤷🏼‍♀️
Bottom-line is _we don’t know._
Draco could not use his back legs and it was clear that he is in great pain as he kept telling us in true Husky-fashion.
X-rays revealed nothing.
We are hoping that pain meds and rest (what’s that in Husky-language 🤔) will make a difference.

A heartfelt sorry of Sample 🌹

We first got to hear about Sample when we got a call complaining about a kitten that will not keep it’s food down.
When we got there Sample was half the size of her 3 month old siblings. Hence also the name - Sample 😂
It was clear that this was one thing we weren’t able to solve by ourselves, she needed to get help from a vet.
The x-ray then revealed a constriction of the oesophagus, which meant specialist surgery or pts.
While we were looking for that special veterinary surgeon, Sample was given soft food which was able to get to her stomach and she kept her food down.
She then revealed herself as a lively, purry, inquiring kitten that managed to crawl into everyone’s heart who had anything to do with her.
So today begins the second chapter of her little life - we found a lift for her with Wendy Maritz, who took her to CPT for that operation.

Rest in Peace, Pandy – You Will Be Deeply Missed 💔💔💔

On Wednesday, we had to say goodbye to our beloved Pandy as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She had bravely fought cancer before, but it returned, and her skin and ear issues no longer responded to medication. Despite her health struggles, Pandy lived her final years surrounded by love, care, and comfort.

A heartfelt thank you to Helene, our incredible foster mom, who gives a home to the sick, the elderly, and those no one else wants. Helene, your unwavering love and dedication provide these animals with the dignity, comfort, and happiness they deserve in their final days. We cannot begin to imagine the pain you endure each time you say goodbye, yet you continue to open your heart to those in need.

Because of you Helene 💞, Pandy – and so many others – knew what it meant to be truly loved. Thank you, Helene.

Jack’s story is one of heartbreak💔, but also of hope. This handsome, long-legged Jack Russell, estimated to be 4 to 6 years old, has endured unimaginable sadness. He was found lying faithfully beside his beloved owner, who had passed away 10 days before anyone discovered them.😢 Despite the tragedy, Jack’s loving spirit shines through.❤️

His best friend, Trixie, has already found her forever home, but Jack is still waiting, longing for someone to love😍. It was heart-wrenching to see how much he missed her, but we know there is someone out there who can mend his broken heart.😢

Jack is a gentle, affectionate boy who walks beautifully on a lead. He adores the beach, a place that holds fond memories of daily visits with his owner. Now, he dreams of sharing those special moments again with a new family who will treasure him.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will fill your life with love and gratitude, Jack is waiting for you. Let’s make this Christmas the beginning of a new chapter for him—a chapter filled with joy, love, and a forever home.

🌸 Meet Peanut – A Special Girl Looking for Her Forever Home! 🏡💖

Peanut is an extraordinary kitty with a heart full of love. She came to us as a tiny kitten, struggling for breath after a dog bit her on the head. It was touch and go—she spent days on a drip at the vet, and we weren’t sure if she would make it or suffer long-term effects. But Peanut is a fighter, and today, at 8 months old, she has blossomed into a beautiful and charming young lady!

She is now sterilized, up to date with her inoculations, and in good health. The only special care she requires is avoiding a certain medication under anesthesia, which is now noted on her vet card. She handled her sterilization beautifully, so we know exactly what works for her.

Peanut is affectionate, sweet, and full of personality. She has been an indoor kitty but loves exploring the garden under supervision. Sadly, her foster parents are returning to the UK in a few weeks, so we need to find her the perfect forever home.

Whoever adopts Peanut will be incredibly lucky—she is charming, entertaining, and an absolute delight to have around! 🥰 Peanut has tested negative to felv/fiv 💕
