When ever we pop in to the vet we never quite leave with the same amount of animals we came with. There's always someone in the cages needing a lifeline 🥹. Once you go back there to "have a look" it's almost guaranteed they will leave with you.This is Simon found wondering in the school grounds terribly malnourished and with a touch of rickets. He is very lively already spoilt rotten and will be available for adoption soon.

Definitely worth a read especially the tale of two worlds. People always assume that township animals or those belonging to the homeless are mistreated and malnourished yet we find they are loved and well cared for. Usually it's those hidden in the backyards of the fancy homes that suffer abuse and neglect.

🏃‍♀️🐾 What a morning 🥴!

We started the day with collection at 6am of an injured dog then packed everyone else in and off to the vet we went.Poor little Stacey, who’s been dealing with some pretty bad bite wounds has massive gashes that needed stitches and a drain and while she is under we asked that she be sterilized too . It’s been stressful for her, but she’s a trooper! 💪❤️

While we were there, we also took our other pups for their vaccinations—gotta keep everyone healthy and happy!

And, just to add a little extra excitement to the morning, poor Jesse was bitten and ended up needing a tetanus shot,so off to doctor we go🧑‍⚕️Never a dull moment 😅

All of this before 11 am! Here’s to a busy yet fulfilling start to the day. 🐶💕

We are desperately in need of sponsors to help cover these unexpected costs like Stacey's treatment and sterilization which is over R1000. The puppies vaccinations another R500 besides our current ever increasing vet bills.

A Plea from the Heart ♥️
Our Community Needs Your Help 🐾

Looking at the faces of the animals in our shelter, I see not just fur and eyes, but tiny lives. Lives filled with potential, with the capacity for joy and love. But the reality is harsh: too many animals are born into a world without homes, a world of suffering and uncertainty.

This isn't just about numbers. It's about individual animals – the playful puppy abandoned on the streets, the gentle cat left behind when a family moves, the countless others facing abuse and uncertain fates.

We are launching a vital sterilization campaign to break this cycle. Every sterilization prevents countless unwanted litters, reducing suffering and creating a more humane future for all animals.
But we can't do this alone. We need your support. Every donation, big or small, will make a real difference.
