We had such a special morning visiting Lighthouse Learning Hub with a few of our rescue pups! 🐶💛 The dogs absolutely loved all the attention, cuddles, and playtime — it was so heartwarming to see how gentle and kind the kids were with them.

A big, big thank you to the learners for the beautiful handmade toys (our pups were thrilled!) and the second-hand blankets you donated. Your kindness and creativity really touched us — and will bring so much comfort to the animals in our care.

We left with full hearts (and wagging tails). 💕🐾.

🐾 We spent time in the Bonnie Toun informal settlement, working with local dog owners to replace short chains with longer runners and safe harnesses. 🛠️🐶

We know that seeing dogs on chains can be upsetting — and in many cases, it's something we work hard to change. But it’s important to understand that not every situation is black and white. In high-risk areas where there are busy roads, dog fights, or theft, responsible chaining can actually save lives as many homes do not have secure fencing.

Our goal is always to improve quality of life. So today, we didn’t just remove chains — we provided secure, humane alternatives that give dogs more freedom to move, rest, and just be dogs. 💚

Massive thank you to the community members who welcomed us, listened, and worked with us to make things better for their animals. Together, we’re creating small, meaningful changes that add up. Thank you to all those who donated there gently used harnesses 🐕💫
