Briza Veterinary Clinic is a new small animal Veterinary Practice servicing the greater west coast a Pop in and meet the team. We look forward to meeting you.

At Briza Veterinary Clinic we pride ourselves in offering a very personal level of
service. We believe that pets are part of the family and we're committed to
providing the highest level of animal healthcare available. As well as offering daily consultations, we have fully equiped facilities for x-ray,
ultrasound, blood testing, dentals, spays, castrations and both soft tissue and
orthopedic sur

gery. We also offer grooming services, accredited puppy school,
home visits and a fully stocked vetshop. We're open Monday to Saturday and service the Table View, Blouberg, West Beach,
Sunset Beach, Melkbos and Milnerton areas.

Please note that we will be closing at 2pm on Tuesday 24th December and reopening on Monday 30th December to give our hard working staff the break they deserve. Meet Honey, a 10 month old Ridgeback Cross that was rescued from an abusive background. A few weeks ago Honey was rushed to us late in the evening as an emergency as she was bleeding internally after her welfare spay. We managed to save her even though she lost a lot of blood. Two weeks later she got very ill and we nearly lost her again. But this girl is a fighter and now 4 days after having two 🐾 in heaven already she’s made a full recovery and is desperately looking for a loving home or even just foster home until she finds her forever family. Honey is extremely loving. She will need a home with an active family that takes her for regular walk. She’s a clever girl and learns quickly but needs training. Please let us know if you can help…..she is a gorgeous little girl that deserves another chance in life 🐕💕

It’s with a very heavy heart that we are saying goodbye to Janine after nearly 11 years at Briza. Janine joined me a year after opening the practice. She was there with me through thick and thin with me,growing Briza to what it is today. She was so much more than a receptionist, nurse and practice manager - she was that one person I could always rely on, she’d be there even if I called her at midnight on a Sunday night. She’d never grumble or moan about the long hours, always ready to give her all. She was that one in a million nurse who loved every single patient passionately and had more empathy than can be put into words. We laughed, we cried, we saw the best and worst of each other. She treated Briza as her own. Janine, I can’t imagine Briza without you. We will miss you so much and wish you all the best with your move to Mauritius. You’ll always be a part of us ###

A pretty stone…..or not so much when this forms in your dog’s bladder and has to be surgically removed. This is one of the reasons we regularly do urine tests. Signs that your dog could be suffering from stones are blood tinged urine, straining to urinate or urinating small amounts frequently.

This is little Angus, a 4 year old long haired Dachshund. Angus presented on Friday with a complete intestinal obstruction. We operated and removed a very big clump of hair that got stuck. All is well that ends well….Angus recovered very well and went home to his mum who had missed him very much today 🥰
