We are a Cat Sanctuary (NPO) that feeds, traps and cares for feral cats living on our campus. We also find homes for unwanted strays and educate students and advise the general public about feral cats and animals in general.

TUFCAT is busy building cat enclosures and we desperately need more fencing, gum poles and a gate. There is no fencing to buy in Grabouw. We can use second-hand fencing and materials. Can anyone help us please?

These pups were rescued in Grabouw. Their mother is a smallish dog and father is small to medium sized. They have been dewormed and vaccinated and are ready for their new homes. Usual adoption procedures apply.

Campus cats getting some meaty treats from Patrick.

This kitty was dumped at the security entrance gate to UWC this morning. Patrick will care for her until I can collect tomorrow...

Some of the UWC campus cats allow Patrick and Sandra to touch them. These lucky felines get flea treatments regularly....

In case anyone is wondering about the dog on the right in this video... Her name is Meisiehond. She arrived on campus during the December break. No one couldn't get near her. Patrick set up a kennel and has been feeding her. He can almost touch her. Patrick cares for the feral cat colonies living on UWC campus. He is the most dedicated and caring person. He has been doing this since 2016. We are so lucky to have him. He gets to campus early every day and even comes in on weekends. Here he is early this morning with Lammetjie...

This little guy's adoption was cancelled... He is 5 months old, neutered and ready for a home of his own. He gets on well with other cats. To adopt him. WA 0824330932.

Our Story

We are an animal welfare charity (NPO) that primarily feeds, traps and cares for feral cats living on our campus. We also find homes for unwanted strays and educate students and advise the general public about feral cats and animals in general.

TUFCAT also has a small ‘Home for Life’ sanctuary for unwanted and special needs cats and dogs, on a beautiful smallholding near Villiersdorp in the Western Cape. We do outreach work on farms and also have regular spay clinics in the dorp.

We are in the process of setting up a ‘Surviving Pet Programme’, so if you are concerned about what will happen to your pets of they outlive you, please contact us for a chat.
