Kali – Endings and Beginnings – “The old must be released so that the new can enter.”
Interpretation
Kali is the Hindu Goddess who works with natural cycles of birth, death and rebirth and is feared by those who do not understand that everything works in cycles and that there is a proper order of things. Before anything new can come in we need to make space for it by releasing the old order of things first. You are like a cupboard that is full of old junk. There is wonderful and new information that is waiting to come in but until you clear the junk out of the cupboard there is nowhere for it to go. A good way to clear out the junk is to write down and burn all the negatives that have happened in your life; all the disappointments, hurts and upsets that you can remember going as far back into your childhood as you can remember. It does not have to be in chronological order but just write it down in your own words as it comes to mind. Write it down exactly as you felt when it happened. Do not be swayed by what other people think you should have felt at the time. When it comes to things in your childhood write it down seeing through the eyes of the child not the adult. That is very important as the child will see things far differently to what the adult would. Once you think you have written it all down then have a ceremony to release it. Make yourself a small altar; you can have flowers, crystals, angels, pictures of your loved ones or pets on it or anything else that you would like to put on there. Now burn the paper, book, volume or whatever else you have written into a fire-proof container and as you do so say “I consciously release this to the Universe!” You will feel this huge weight being lifted off your shoulders as you have now released it and can move on to new things! This should be done on a regular basis as in this way you keep the cupboard empty and ready to receive all that is new, important and wonderful! Do not fear what appears to be a change or a loss but know that everything is exactly as it should be and enjoy the weavings of the story of your life!
