This friendly little guy was picked up running along the road, in the pouring rain today, outside Durbanville. If he is your dog or you can offer him a foster home until we locate his owner please message 083 779 5521. If no owner is found he will be adopted. He is approximately 2 years old and has been vet checked, vaccinated, dewormed and given a tick and flea treatment. He will be microchipped on adoption.

This little guy (who doesn’t even have a name) was found, at house, while we were dropping kennels last week in Macassar. Chained and terrified in an open yard – his ‘’owner” was given a warning by an inspector travelling with us, to get him off the chain within a week. He needs fencing and a gate without fail. To make his life a bit more bearable immediately, we gave him a kennel (meant for another dog), along with some food, water and bedding. Please don’t ask us to remove him – if we do there will be another pup there without delay! And the cycle continues – we can only make their living conditions and lives better, and try to educate the owners on basic animal care. We need help with funds for a gate, fencing and his kennel – please donate to help so we can do it this week. Chloe – the stabbed Pitbull girl from Macassar was homed today. Thank you to all who helped her by sharing her plight and sponsoring transport - most of all to David Hardwick for taking and settling her in. Pitbulls, like Rottweilers and other power breeds make loving, gentle and protective family pets if brought up correctly. A lot up for adoption are bypassed due to bad publicity and a few horrific stories. If you have a good story about your power breed fur baby – please share it and let’s get some of the deserving ones out of shelters and into homes! David is the Pittie and power breed expert (083 287 1250) and can help you find your perfect match.

Lily and Layla were removed from a backyard breeder in Macassar at 6 weeks old – both just fluff covering bones, infested with worm parasites. They weighed a third of what they should have at that age. Lily spent 3 days on a drip and feeding tube, and for the past month they have been on constant medication to help them recover the severe neglect they suffered. Taken from their mother before they could eat on their own, locked in a cage - they nearly didn’t survive, terrified of humans unable to walk properly and in a catatonic state. Now they are normal Rottie pups, gaining weight daily and are ready to find their new families. Please contact Adele on 0837795521 if you would like either or both to be your new family additions.
