This beautiful boy who has been in foster for months and months has moved over to .rescue.rehab where he's got room to move and run and play, and will be receiving all the love and attention he so craves.

They are safe at a foster and are settling in.

Her other baby, Storm, didn't make it unfortunately and we'll be burying him with great love today.

Little Elvis, of the Musicians litter, is still looking for his forever home.

He's definitely the most confident of his siblings, and purrs like a tractor. He's 8 weeks old, microchipped and has had his first vacs.

This handsome boy was left behind in an estate when his owners moved, and after trying to contact them many times he's officially a stray 😭

He's super loving and would love nothing more than a family to share his affection with. He will be Sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped soon.

Now 2.5 weeks old, the school litter are THRIVING with their foster mama. They are all feeding well, and thankfully pooping well too 😅

We're in need of more kitten milk though. We can get at for just R170 instead of the R475 at vetshops. Bonus!

Last weekend we were out at Maarbon farm doing welfare and needs assessments, and we met 10 new friends 😻

The pet owners were incredibly welcoming and their animals superbly looked after. We were so impressed. No one was chained, they were all in great condition and all had water. Well done guys!!

We dewormed everyone, but there is a bit of work to be done to ensure the whole farm is Sterilized and vaccinated, and we can't wait to get stuck in.

The hidden expenses of animal rescue 😔

A subject we all want to avoid, but unless we can cover these costs we're can't do our rescue work.

This month we had:
- diesel to get kittens to and from the foster home, to get them to the vet for vacs, and for extra vet visits for sick kittens.
- an enormous amount spent on kitten food and cat litter.
- banking fees (urg!).

Though it might not seem very glamorous donating towards these types of things, it is important to make you aware of these hidden costs that often we have to cover out of our own pockets.

We've made donating even easier now with snapscan, so if you feel like you want to donate towards the work we're doing please either snapscan or eft ❤️

Last night we got another litter of 5 kittens in from someone who can't afford to keep them 🥺 We had these 5 cuties at the vet this morning for vacs and microchips and a general checkup. They've been given the all clear and are now settling in at their foster mums. @the.tortoiseshell thank you so much for giving them a safe space to thrive and grow and be loved on. More pics to come 😻 Mom and dad have now been Sterilized.
