World meet Toothless!

This GORGEOUS 3 year old boy is looking for a forever home or long term foster. He's already sterilized and vaccinated and is phenomenal with kids.

His previous family can unfortunately no longer keep him as they're moving to a pet-free complex 😭

Our hearts are so sore for him, and we desperately want to find him a safe place where he can relax and flourish.

We've lost the 2 puppies at Welgelegen due to Tick Bite Fever. Witflag only just survived, and now Zara seems to be showing symptoms 😭

We urgently need to buy tick prevention treatment for these dogs but it's EXPENSIVE!

How can you help?

Meet Bullet!

This sweet boy was already sterilized when we met him, thanks to his responsible guardians. Last week we took him for his annual vaccinations, and had the pleasure of delivering a lovely kennel and comfy blanket to him, thanks to Ingamu Foundation

We had to do some cleaning up of litter (and educating of owners), fixed his running line and taught the kids the importance of fresh water daily.

He now has a nice comfy spot to hide from the weather, clean water and had a good meal. (The water is brown because it's borehole water, but drinkable).

We'll be looking at fixing the fencing around his enclosure in January, so this escape artist can come off the running line!

This past Wednesday, Marmalade went to his forever home and we couldn't be happier!

Now called Peanut, he's settling in well and getting to know his new home and little canine buddies.

It's not often an adult male gets chosen over the countless kittens out there, so we are so grateful to this family for choosing him 😻

Celebrating a 10 sterilizations kinda day 🎉🥳

That's 1400 unwanted kittens (a female cat can have a whopping 280 kittens in its lifetime!) and 300 unwanted puppies (a female dog can have an average of 60 puppies in its lifetime) that won't be born. Won't go hungry, die of illness or malnutrition. Won't be abused or bred with further. Won't be chained, go wet and cold during winter, and won't be lonely and unloved.

That's just in these 10 animals lifetimes.

Now for us, that's reason to celebrate!

This week we had the honour of working with Welgelegen farm to Sterilize the farm workers animals.
We Sterilized and vaccinated 5 dog and 5 cats, and had an extra 5 dogs and 2 cats vaccinated (already Sterilized).

It's always so amazing getting to know these people and their animals. And the beautiful scenery didn't hurt either 😜

We are so grateful to the Ingamu Foundation for sponsoring all the sterilizations and vaccinations, we simply couldn't have done it without you.

These 2 spicy little kittens went for their first vaccinations and deworming this past Wednesday.

It was an adventure and they were very happy when they got back to the farm! We'll go back when they are 6 months old to trap them for sterilization 😻

Yesterday we spent some time at Welgelegen again. Unfortunately all owners were out, away at a funeral, so we couldnt do much. However we did administer tick/flea treatment to the dogs, dewormed Zara (the spotty dog) who seems to have lost a bit of weight, and do some cleanups and water checks. We also checked on Faith who has thankfully put on some weight.

We were devastated to learn that both Mollas pups, Wollie and Kira, had passed away from Tick-bite fever 😭😭 and no one contacted us to say they were ill. We could have helped ,😭😭 it's heartbreaking and frustrating but really brought home how important tick treatment is for these dogs.

We can't even believe this is the same little girl! She's gone from 355g to a whopping 580g in just a week with her fost...

Kattie is a semi feral boy who we Sterilized and vaccinated yesterday. This sweetie pie purrs like a tractor (sound on!) and is so beautiful. This beautiful mama cat gave birth 2 weeks ago to 5 beans that will be needing homes soon.
