As we reach the final stretch of 2024, we would like to thank everyone who has supported us this year. We wish you all a happy and healthy end to 2024 and start of 2025. Our veterinary clinic will be open over most of the festive period. However, please take note of our hours over the follow days:

We have seen a few cats with tick bite fever recently. This gorgeous boy, Chester, was one of them. A parasite called Babesia gets transmitted from ticks into the cat's bloodstream when the tick attaches to the cat. The parasite then replicates in the blood and damages the blood cells as it does so. This causes severe illness. Chester had a blood transfusion and started on some medication and is almost back to full health.

Although this beauty looks like he could be a leopard cub, he is actually a domestic cat. A bengal! They are very loving and affectionate pets, but they do tend to be pretty good hunters. Maybe it's down to their beautiful camouflage!

Our happy hounds food has arrived! We are so proud to be stocking a locally sourced, ethically farmed, unprocessed dog food. Not only that, our dogs think it tastes fantastic! We have a range of flavours, including venison for our allergy prone hounds.

This beautiful cat is called Pixie. Pixie came in to have a blood test to see if she has feline leukaemia. Feline leukaemia can be caused be a virus that is found in cat saliva. It is spread during cat fights or from being groomed by an affected cat. Luckily Pixie got the all clear and she has now been vaccinated to protect her from being infected in the future.
