In 2017 after being involved in animal rescue for over 15 years I decided to start my own org. My goal as is all rescue orgs.
is to save as many innocent lives as possible from a fate worse than death My adoption fee is R950 and includes the following:
* de-flea
* deworm
* Testing for FIV and FeLV
* 1st Vaccination
* Microchipping
* Sterilisation (this will be done when they are slightly older - boys at 6 months and girls at 4 months)
All the above will be done except for sterilisation by the time the kittens are ready
to go. Please note that in the case where a kitten is too small to go to their forever home , they can be reserved but no kitten will be reserved unless the adoption fee is paid upfront in full. Should (God forbid) the kitten pass away then you will be refunded your full adoption fee however should you cancel the adoption for whatever reason you forfeit the adoption fee. I am quite strict about homing my kittens in pairs if the family does not have any other cats or if they have an unsocialised cat that is older than 3 years old. My kittens can go to their forever homes between the ages of 8 - 12 weeks old. Home checks apply and there are no exceptions to this rule. N.B
This is a NPO which means that due to the lack of financial assistance, we may be unable to fulfill the sterilisation cost that is included in the adoption fee, should this occur we ask that you please consider paying for your kitten's sterilisation cost (welfare rates apply)

Ever since I was a young girl I always had a passion for helping any animal in need, I would always come home from school with a injured bird, a tortoise, puppy, dog, kitten or cat I found on the side of the road, it wasn’t something that I just did it was part of who I am ....
I started fostering for various non-profit organisations from the age of 16 and when I finished school I studied Veterinary nursing but I never ended up working for a Veterinary practice because I found that I could help more animals by being involved in rescue than I could working for a business.
There are moments where you feel as if your heart will never heal from the pain that you experience when losing one of your babies because they were hurt to the extent that there was nothing you could do but show them love in their last few hours of life but at the same time you also get to experience the most amazing feeling when you do successfully rescue an animal from a sure death and you see them years later, healthy and happy, all because you along with others who took the time to stop and pick up that injured dog/cat along the side of the road or didn’t just turn a blind eye to the man who was drunk and kicking his puppy in the street, those who risk their lives everyday by going into the dangerous areas to save a life and make a difference in some way.
People always tell us that you can’t save them all and ask us why do we sometimes take in more animals than we can afford to and the answer is simple.... No we can’t save them all but if we can save just one life, to that dog/cat or any other animal, you have made a difference and just that fact alone is enough to keep us going and we will never stop trying to save and change as many lives as we can because it is not just what we do, it’s who we are.
Working in rescue will break you but somehow you find the strength to get back up and do it all over again, you will find that you are stronger than you ever thought you could be and you will experience love for an animal that is stronger than any love you have ever felt before and then you will have to say goodbye to him/her when you find them the perfect forever home, which is both the happiest and saddest moments in your life.
When you adopt an animal, you will never experience more love than that of a rescue.
So when you decide to make a furry addition to your family, please think carefully about it because it is a commitment that you are making to that dog/cat for the rest of their lives, you are saying to them that no matter what happens in your life you will always make sure that they will be a part of it and most importantly don’t give up on them, remember that they did not have the best start in life and some of them have lived through horrific abuse and neglect, so be patient and take the time to show them that no matter what they do, they are part of your family now and nothing they ever do will ever change that.
