Amelia has been with us for just shy of two and a half years, starting out as a shy, bright eyed newbie, but quickly finding her footing and becoming an integral part of the team, including doing all the behind the scenes for our social media!

We are so sad to see you go but we are so excited to send you off on your study abroad adventure!

UPDATE - owners found and have collected ✨

URGENT NOTICE

We are desperately searching for the owners of this cute terrier cross. It was found running around Orpen Road around 1pm.
We have tried contacting the number in the chip but have had no luck despite several attempts.
He is getting anxious in hospital and just want to make sure he can get home safely 🫶🏻

If anyone recognizes this sweet like fella please let us know.

Lea has taken it upon herself to brighten up the patient experience by turning our sweet patients painful experiences into beautiful works of art.

These are some of the gorgeous bandages Lea has done in the last couple of weeks and we absoloutely adore both the drawings and the experience she’s giving our clients and patients.
We have always drawn little hearts on bandages as we believe a little bit of love goes a long way and it has now blossomed into Lea’s thirty precious minutes with our precious post op patients.

Not only are the drawings beautiful, the patients are loving the extra love and attention to detail and it puts a much needed smile on their owners faces after worrying about their loved ones while their in hospital ❤️

We love it so much we wanted to share some of our favorites, like a Lea look book.

Theres never an off day when it comes to doing what you love.
Nurse Lea came in to get some admin done on a Sunday morning when she was greeted by this cutie and instantly dived in to cuddle duty while she was being treated.

No patient is too small to have nurse cuddles when in for treatment, just like this wonderful silver Main C**n.

This 10kg wonder isn't the largest of his kind we have seen but it doesn't make him any less regal.

This stunning Bengal came in for treatment after presenting with mouth irritation.

He was diagnosed with mild Gingivitis which we treated topically with Pet Dent Oral Gel which contains enzymes that break down plaque and tartar on the surface of the teeth.

As we know brushing a cats teeth can be a next to impossible task, dental gel is a suitable alternative for oral hygiene and care. Even if your pet doesn't present with poor oral health, we should still be maintaining oral hygiene with products such as oral gel, toothpaste or even additives for the water.

After showing his owners how to care for his teeth, he went on his merry way home a happy kitty. We will continue to monitor his oral health to make sure his gingivitis does not progress.

With the winter weather gearing up to make a huge comeback this year we wanted to share some tips and tricks to keep our pets safe during these crazy storms.

1) Make sure to provide your pet with a safe space to take refuge from the thunder and lightning, whether it be a warm bed, a kennel, a safe spot under the bed or even a quiet corner in the house where they can take shelter from the noise.

2) Play music or have the TV going to drown out outside noise

3) If they are especially anxious during storms, make sure to have over the counter anxiety medications on hand in case of emergency such as Calmeze or Pet Remedy. If your dog requires something a little stronger please consult with your vet to discuss alternative options.

4) In the case that your pets manage to get out, make sure they are microchipped and that the details on said chip are up to date and accurate so that they can be reunited with you if they are picked up by someone else. Also make sure that their collar has a tag with their name and a contact number.

5) Try to keep your cats in as much as possible as when cats are scared they may bolt and take refuge elsewhere such as storm drains, other houses, or foliage.

6) Make sure your cats collar has quick release as their collar may get hooked on debris or broken branches which may pose a great danger to them.

Stay safe and keep warm this winter.

A gentle reminder that although we understand easter weekend is one best celebrated by sweet treats, we urge you to take the time to keep them out of reach of our beloved pets as they can be incredibly harmful to their health.

This little kitty was pretty content with his uber service and left his review in the form of all his hair on Leas chest. There was certainly no covering this one up.

We all love getting our kitten cuddle fix when we have new healthy babies to gawk over.

Another day, another guinea fowl baby safely rescued and rehabilitated.
As many of you may know, our very own nurse Linda serves as some what as a "halfway" house for injured or orphaned baby birds, where she assesses, treats and sends them off to the relevant channels where they can be reintegrated back into the wild.

This little guy is doing very well and is getting ready to live out his big bird life out in the wild.
