🐕✨ Meet Lorren: Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner and Caniology Certified Body Worker ✨🐕

Trained in Canine Hydrotherapy at in the UK, Lorren transitioned from corporate business management to focus on holistic dog care, driven by her passion for canine wellness.

Together with Angela Griffiths from Greyfriars she has pioneered and hosted training courses in Cape Town, delivering Level 3 Canine Hydrotherapy Certification, Canine First Aid programs and Level 4 Gait and Underwater Treadmill courses. She has also facilitated seminars and talks for veterinary professionals enabling further education about canine hydrotherapy and rehabilitation.

From veterinary rehabilitation to therapeutic exercises, Lorren’s dedication ensures that every pup gets the expert care they deserve. Whether working with performance athletes, post-surgery dogs, developing puppies, or senior dogs, she’s committed to their health and happiness.

📷 Meet Marguerite: A Visionary Photographer with a Painter's Soul 📷

Marguerite's lifelong passion for creating beautiful images led her to Joburg’s National School of the Arts, where she honed her craft. After completing her BA in Visual Communication, she embarked on a journey between Cape Town and Berlin, developing her signature ‘painter’ style—an aesthetic that merges art and storytelling to create something truly extraordinary.

Her work captures the essence of culture, exploring and celebrating visual iconoclasts with a painterly photographic aesthetic. This unique approach earned her prestigious recognition in 2022, including the Pink Lady Food Photography Award for Food Photographer of the Year (African Territory) and the Claire Aho Award for Women Photographers. Competing against thousands of entries from over 60 countries, Marguerite’s winning works were exhibited at the in Bristol, UK.

Recently, Marguerite completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Brand Building, further investing in her ability to strategizs visual trends in photography and branding. Her artistic soul shines through in every project she undertakes, making her a true master of visual storytelling.

Meet , the dedicated senior physiotherapist at Booth Memorial Hospital, an NPO run by the that focuses on physical rehabilitation. Reneé specializes in stroke rehabilitation, a field she’s deeply passionate about. With a BSc. Honours degree in physiotherapy from the University of the Western Cape (2010) , she’s committed her career to improving the lives of stroke patients in South Africa.

Stroke is one of the leading causes of disability in our country, and Reneé’s mission is to help those affected regain their independence. In 2020, she earned her master’s degree in physiotherapy, focusing on stroke self-management. Now, she’s pursuing her PhD, continuing her research into stroke management in the Western Cape, making a profound difference in a resource-constrained environment.

Outside of her professional life, Reneé is a loving mom to Franklin (), her adorable Staffy who brings endless joy and the best cuddles to her and her husband, . Franklin’s gorgeous smile lights up their lives, making every day brighter.

Today, we’re shining a spotlight on the incredible Lee O’Brien, an entrepreneur who has changed the skincare game for all of us! In 1992, Lee secured the distribution rights for Dermalogica and introduced it to South Africa, turning it into the nation’s top-selling professional skincare line. Thanks to her vision and determination, women across the country have had access to world-class skincare products that truly make a difference.

But Lee’s journey didn’t stop there. After selling Dermalogica in 2007, she devoted herself to giving back, focusing on helping animals in need. Today, we’re proud to introduce Steyn Steyn, a passionate Advocate of the High Court of South Africa and a dedicated protector of children’s rights. With a Master's Degree in Children's Rights and Labour Law from the University of Stellenbosch, Mea has been a member of the Cape Bar since 2010, specialising in Labour Law, Evictions, Restraint of Trades, and most importantly, Children’s Rights.

Mea’s work is driven by a deep commitment to ensuring that children are protected from abuse and that their voices are heard in every matter that concerns them. Her advocacy is not just about upholding the law; it's about giving children a voice and making sure they are seen and heard in a world where they are often overlooked.

Beyond her legal career, Mea loves to immerse herself in reading and creating art. She is also the proud dog mom of Millie Steyn, who loves joining her at chambers and helping out with legal matters—when she’s not at school with her friends, of course! 🐶📚

💪 Meet Jackie Wells: Physiotherapist, Pilates Instructor, Online App owner and Trail-Running Dog Mom 🐾

Today, we’re excited to celebrate Jackie Wells , a passionate physiotherapist and Pilates rehab teacher who has dedicated the past 20 years to helping people recover from sports injuries and chronic pain. Jackie’s journey in physiotherapy led her to discover the incredible benefits of Pilates, which she now uses to support the body, relieve pain, and keep her clients injury-free.

In January this year, Jackie launched her Groud-breaking Pilates and rehab app, Back in Action (www.backinaction.co.za), offering live and recorded sessions to help others find relief and stay strong. Watching her app grow and make a difference in people’s lives has been incredibly rewarding for Jackie.

But Jackie’s story doesn’t end there! She’s a proud mom to both her incredible 18-year-old daughter Maxi and her fur child Lulu, a two-year-old trail-running superstar. Jackie loves nothing more than hitting the trails with Lulu by her side, staying fit with daily Pilates and strength training, and of course, enjoying a good cup of coffee. ☕🐶

Today, we're honored to introduce Rivona Ramnanan, the Senior Veterinarian at the Cape of Good Hope SPCA , whose journey to becoming a vet began as early as age 3. Rivona’s dedication to animal welfare is truly inspiring, as she works tirelessly to make a difference for both animals and people every single day. 🐶🐱

Working in animal welfare comes with its challenges, but for Rivona , the rewards far outweigh them. Her passion for helping animals in need is reflected in her work at the Cape of Good Hope SPCA, an organization committed to preventing cruelty to animals and providing them with the care and protection they deserve. The SPCA is at the forefront of animal welfare, offering a range of services from rescue operations to veterinary care, and continuously advocating for better treatment of all animals.

🎥 Meet Daniëlle Nel: Hollywood Film Editing Expert, and Dog Mom to Phoebe, Luka, and Pixel 🎥

Today, we're thrilled to feature the incredibly talented Daniëlle Nel, a freelance editor who has been making waves in the film industry since 2002. With certifications in Blackmagic Resolve, Avid Media Composer, Apple FCP 7/X, and Adobe Premiere & After Effects, Daniëlle is the go-to person for anything related to editing workflows—she literally eats Hollywood Films for breakfast! 📚🍽️

Daniëlle's expertise shines in the areas of Conform, Online, Finishing, and Deliveries. Her impressive career includes assisting legendary editor Stuart Baird on the 2018 Tomb Raider reboot and working as the conform editor on the BAFTA and Oscar-winning documentary, My Octopus Teacher, just to name a few.

In February 2023, Daniëlle embarked on a new adventure by founding her own post-production facility, Post Pixies.
