Results for the Eventing Graded and Sanesa show:
🐴Emma Heimann and Express Flyer participated in the 75cm Junior category for Sanesa and ended up in 2nd Place.
Dressage score 58.88%.
Show Jumping -Beautiful clear round.
Cross country-Beautiful clear round.
🐴Natasha van Zyl and Zeal and Zest participated in the 65cm adult category and ended up in 7 th place.
Dressage score 57.5%
Show jumping-Beautiful clear round.
Cross Country -Beautiful clear round with an unfortunate 4.4 time penalty.

FEI SHOWJUMPING RULES - SPUR AND WHIP MARKS ON THE HORSE

The FEI is starting to take a much stronger stance against abuse of any kind.

One of the ways they are implementing this is by stating that any marks on the horse caused by the whip or spurs or the rider will result in an immediate disqualification.

The rule refers to any marks on the body caused by excessive usage. The marks do not need to have drawn blood.

DID YOU KNOW?

All competitors must wear an approved hard hat with a three-point harness and correct footwear (i.e. shoes with a heel) at all times when mounted.

This rule applies any time you are mounted on your horse or pony at the venue, not only when you are in the competition arena. So even if you are riding back to the horsebox, or going on a walk with your friends, you always need to be dressed correctly.

RED JACKETS

The use of red riding jackets in South Africa has been restricted for many years. The wearing of a red jacket is restricted to only riders who have qualified for and competed in the National Title Class, which is the main class at the SA Adult Championships. If a rider has not taken part in this class, they may under no circumstances compete in a red jacket.

The rules around different 'red' tones have been debated, with some riders competing in maroon jackets. A good general rule to use is that if you're wondering if the jacket could be seen as red, then it's best to avoid it.

It is a huge honour and achievement for riders to ride in the SA Championship class, and thus, they are rewarded with the ability to wear red.
