🚨 Help Save CROW on World Animal Welfare Day! 🌍🐾
On October 4th, World Animal Day, CROW faces a crisis like never before. The combined impact of COVID-19, devastating floods, and rising overheads has left us on the brink of closure within ten months. 😢 Without your immediate action, thousands of indigenous wild animals will be left without the help they desperately need.
To keep our mission alive, we're launching CROW’s Emergency Campaign on BackaBuddy to raise 350,000 Rand – enough to cover one month of operational costs. 🙏💚 One month may seem like a fleeting moment, but it means one month more rescues, more rehabilitations and more releases and more time to secure funding. Find the link here https://www.backabuddy.co.za/champion/project/hope-for-our-wildlife-crows-emergency-appeal. You can also go to our website https://crowkzn.co.za/donate
Please, help us spread the word by sharing this campaign with your family, friends, neighbours, and colleagues. Every contribution matters, and every Rand brings us closer to ensuring more rescues, rehabilitations, and releases. 🦔🦉🐢 Together, we can make a difference for these incredible creatures. 🌟

Enrichment time!
The banded mongoose enjoying some fun filled boxes. The boxes are filled with 100% natural treats, foods and smells. This encourages natural behaviours of foraging, hiding, troop hierarchy and provides a stimulating environment.
Enrichment doesn't just bring joy to our animals but to our volunteers aswell, as they can see all of their hard work paying off.

Monkey madness around crow!
The best enrichment you can possibly provide for primates is a stimulating environment. 🍌🐒
Monkeys go bananas for some nice fresh green trees 🌿
If your in the yellow Park area and have cut down some trees or branches, bring them through.
Conservation of trees and wildlife are equally important to sustain a healthy environment, so its best to use the already chopped trees. Waste nothing!

Upgrading the young grey Duikers, Archer ♂️ and Delcie ♀️
The two antelope were moved into a large enclosure with several other antelope.
In this part of their journey back to the wild, they start the weaning process and begin to become more wild and independent.
Before moving them into their new home, they have their ears notched and disinfected to stop any minor bleeding and infection.
Notching the ears causes no harm to the animal, just a small pinch and helps us to identify them for post release monitoring and enables us to know the gender of the buck when sighted. Boys notch on the right and girls on the left.
For more photos of this even check out our stories.
