The good life
And another one...
The diminutive Bomber Girl is another good one. Winning for Tienie Prinsloo.
He gave her the time she needed and BOOM.....she was one of our more difficult babies.
Juniper Green ....clever girl.
Won today. Well done Gareth and connections.
And here we have Ally, with Zelya. We got her fm Peter Muscutt.
She just won't best 5 year old tb at the young horse performance series.
By what a winter out of a Jay Peg mare
First winner in a while.
A little bit Naughty aka Doris.

Meredith Grey wins her 3rd race in PE on Friday. This time for Kelly Mitchley. Dug deep to fight back. Well done to all they connections. Great ride fm Chase Maujean.
Haven't had many runners ex our farm. Have many in the pipeline.
Today is a whoop whoop day for Smanga and Bomber Girl and Tienie Prinsloo.
The diminutive daughter of Lancaster Bomber had no intention of letting anyone pass her, to notch up her 2nd win. Looks very decent this one.
We had many ex resident horses racing on July day.
What an honor for our small operation that has only been going for 3 years odd.
Bomber Girl, let the Flag Fly, then the winner of the second race, Main Defender, making it 3 out of 3. Sea Master and Street Art, although we did not back and pretrain the former. Then we had that super filly Humdinger, who ran another great race. 3rd to Princess Calla and Desert Miracle. Billy Bowlegs in the main race, we didnt pretrain him either, and then Money Heist and Diani, who did not get to run, thanks to loadshedding.
Proud mama. My grooms are awesome.
Thanks to all who have allowed us to be part of this successful journey. It's a pleasure to work with these magnificent animals.
Billy is back home having a holiday.
Being pampered, not that Alecs horses are not pampered, but girls rule in that department.
It's the day before Durban July day. The fever is here. We have a runner.
Billy Bowlegs is owned by Laura de Haast, Sitha Govender, Krish Nagendran and International Racing Club (Joao da Mata).
Trained by Alec Laird.
He will be running on at the finish when others are running on empty. Watch this space.
And on Saturday, we had Captain Bombshell and Money Heist involved in a finish, with Captain Bombshell going on to win. With all the excitement over Humdinger, I completely forgot this race. Hehe.
Affectionately known as Babybomb, this guy has so much personality....I love him.
He is nice type.
The Muscutt yard and Richard Fourie both in lethal form.
And in Jhb, Main Defender makes it 2 out of 2. Won very impressively on debut and just as well 2nd time. First time for Tienie Prinsloo, this time for Tony Peter.
He is by Pathfork out of a Judpot mare.
What a girl. Humdinger does it again. Hangs on to win the grade 2 Tibouchina stakes at very generous odds. Had tears in my eyes. This girl gives it her all.
Big and beautiful too. Was always a special one.
Photos to follow
Thanks big Mike for such a good job.
Congrats to International Racing.
They have a big future in SA horseracing.
Sea Master by Master of my Fate wins his 7th race and a group 3.. What a botjyie. He looked the part I the parade ring. I so love the foto of Gareth and Gavin. Priceless .
Well done my special friend Laura de Haast.
Finally...after a long struggle swimming upstream. Deryl Daniel's has been given his jockeys license back.
May he ride many winners.
A winning story against addiction.
Let the Flag Fly and the diminutive Bomber Girl. As unnamed babies, I called them Aten and Gretchen.
Very thrilled for Tienie Prinsloo.. Has a small string.
Needed this boost.
Good jockey Smanga. Horses run for him.
Alphabetty by twice over.
Ridden by Tristan Godden and trained by Pete Muscutt. First run after a holiday at Soet en Dal. Tall and athletic, but wiry and trains light...they did a fantastic job of putting weight on her. This girl is talented.
Three of our graduates won today.
Bomber Girl
Let the Flag Fly
Alphabetty.
So awesome.
Street Art wins again..
This time for Tony Peter.
Look at the pricked ears
Pash
And when our kids don't want to run, they can jump. Here is another.
This is Lingua Franca by Ideal World with his owner Amy Radke who has done an outstanding job. He has found his feet.
So my favourite boy in the whole world,
Pashtunwali won in PE today for Cliffie Miller.
I have first option on this horse for a very dear friend who jumps at top level. He a 17 hander and just gorgelicious. Waiting for pics

River Patrol found his right person. Lovely big 3 year old by Global View. Doesn't that excited giggle say it all Congratulations Heidi.
Here we have Neil having his first canter on track today. Never have I seen a horse grow so disproportionately. Too short, too leggy, bum as high as his ears and a suitcase head, coupled with cow hocks. Tall and weak....so he taking as long as he needs. No pressure. Was bought cheaply for all of above reasons. But omw...look at him move. I have a feeling.....just as his owner did. He a William Longsword.
This one could be interesting. First time trotting in arena. A William Longsword. Never seen a horse grow as disproportionately as this one. Needs time. He moves very well. Could be anything.
Babies first outride yesterday. 4 colts went to track. Yours truly and Truly Wicked leading...when he wasn't spooking. Then baby led him.
Meredith Grey by Grey's Inn....does she not move like a dressage horse? Love this girl. So very sensible and clever.
So today was,a milestone for Basie and Suzette Viljoens lovely Futura gelding Spielberg, who had some serious problems to contend with before seeing a race. Today he won his second start with ease....after a long rehab with a questionable prognosis. Here's to Steve ...we are so proud of your achievement. Congratulations are in order. It just goes to show what time and tlc can do.
It's backing babies time again. My grooms have taught me so much. I used to take weeks and weeks. Those days are gone. Can do it quickly and painlessly in the blink of an eye if the animal trusts you...and out babies trust us implicitly.
