KINGSMEAD KRYSTAL.
She is as well as she can be, and with the draw in hand I expect a big run from her. She is temperamental, and as a 5yo mare she can throw an indifferent run unexpectedly, however it appears to us that she will go well today.

Race 7
ALITTLEBITNAUGHTY.
She won a good race with the equipment change last time out. I'm expecting another big effort, but I am aware that she now has to carry a lot more weight.

He is better over today's trip of 1200m. I'm expecting him to be fighting it out for top honors today.

Hoping for the best, can't give too much confidence coming off the layoff.

NIGHTINGALES SING.
She should need a run to bring her on.

KYLIES ANGEL.
She has shown improvement since her debut. She will be better suited to this distance, my concern becomes the poly for the first time, however she holds scope for improvement and I feel she holds an each way chance.

Race 7
KING PELLES.
He shows signs of being well above average. This race will tell us more. He will appreciate the extra 200m, I'm excited to see how he goes!

Race 8
WYLIE RYLIE
I thought his last race, which he won, was gutsy.
He is doing well and should be competitive.

She is at her best on the poly. From draw 1 I think she may be the horse to beat.

Race 3
MAZATLAN.
I expect him to improve significantly today. Nice roughie!

Race 5
BOWIE.
He is a hard knocker who is doing well back home. I'm hoping today is his day, but it's hard to be confident with him.

Race 6
RAFA'S BOY.
His work is progressive, however the draw is a significant concern when factoring in his running style.

Race 8
ZINIKELE.
Although the form of the race has been franked, her last start was a touch disappointing. I'm looking for improvement on that effort and hoping she runs in the money.

Nice horse with scope. Should need this run to bring him on, but that doesn't leave him without a chance to earn a cheque.

RACE 2
RANI OF JHANSI.
She has come on since her debut. She will be better suited to today's course and distance.
She should be involved in the finish.

CHICHICASTENANGO.
Should need the experience and she is looking for further.

Race 6
FIGHT SONG.
He may enjoy running fresh. He is doing well back home and could be a nice roughie for exotics.

Race 7
QUANDARY.
If not for the draw I would be quite confident regarding his chances today.
He is doing very well back home.

I am of the opinion that she is progressive. She is suited to the trip. I expect a big run from her today.

Race 2
TRUE LOVES KISS.
From that draw, she will be running at them. She is looking for further, can place.

Race 4
JUNIPER GREEN.
She surprised me in her debut. She has shown improvement since. I hope I'm not going 1600 to soon.

Race 5
SWIFT NICKS.
Blinkers go on. He is looking for the trip. Can improve.

Race 6
FAIZAH.
She is progressive, and she runs well fresh. The weight and the draw are against her, but she is fit and well.

Race 8
CAPTAINOFTHEGREEN.
He is in a very good space. He has scope for improvement, the tongue tie should aid him. I fancy him today.
FATEFUL DAY.
Has upset potential, a definite lurker.

SWIFT NICKS.
3rd run after an injury induced rest. I expect improvement and a peak run from him.

Race 4
MONEY HEIST.
Although he comes off a rest, he should not run like that. He looks well and is doing well back home.

Race 5
WILEY RILEY.
He had a tough passage last time out. From draw 1, and with the tongue ties on, I expect significant improvement from him.

Race 7
ANCIENT EPIC.
There is a lot in her favor here. Draw, distance and potentially the claim 4. She is doing well back home .

LA PURA VIDA
May prefer 1200m. Not the type who would need a run after a rest. She is doing well back home.

I expected him to win last time out. Blinkers go on today. I think there is more to come from him. On his work with the blinkers, it will take a good one to beat him.

At best an outside quartet chance.

Race 3
KING PELLES.

His debut over 1200 was super impressive for me. He is bred to go 2000m +. Again, I think it will take a good one to beat him here.

Race 5
QUANTIFIER

He is fit and well in an open race.

Race 7
CAPTAINOFTHEGREEN

He is out at the weights, comes off a rest and is poorly drawn, however there is a lot of upside to him still. He is well, but will come on with the run.
I must be guarded here, but don't leave him out.

I would not discount either filly, based on the layoffs. They're looking good and could be involved.

QUANDARY.
He is in a good space. I think he is more of a 1200m horses than a 1000m horse, which distance he won over last time out.

Gareth van Zyl has settled in at Milnerton Training Center, with the new yard set to have 2 runners at Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Saturday.

Gareth commented, “We’ve trucked seven older horses and 12 two-year-olds to the Cape, to start. I want the string well settled before the Cape season gets in full swing!"
