I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more beautiful pair of Tuxie girls! One dark, one light. This is the beauty of cats: all colours and all shapes, but most importantly: every one is a little angel.

Personalities:
Piper (the darker Tuxie) is a little purr-machine. She loves to play with her sister, Posey, and to cuddle up close to her humans at night.

Posey (she has more white) is a soft natured little girl. She comes running to the door to greet you when you arrive home, and loves a good cuddle when she's sleeping.

Meet our three beautiful tree babies whose Mom was sadly killed by dogs and they had to be rescued from a tree.

Rex - ginger male 7-8 weeks

Rex loves to play with his toys and run around and chase around with his sisters playing with the balls.

Amber - tortie female 7-8 weeks (dark tortie)

Amber really loved to chase around and play with little balls and absolutely loved her tummy scratches.

Mia - tortie female 7-8 weeks (lighter tortie and the smallest of the litter).

Little Mia is a very cuddly and a very loud purr machine she loves to cuddle up to your neck and fall asleep and be close to you.

We had the pleasure of meeting these beauties yesterday and had so much fun playing with them and snapping photos!

IS ANYONE MISSING A KITTEN?

I was contacted by a hotel in Umhlanga yesterday about this little guy who was found running around there.
He/ she is tame and can be handled so it’s doubtful that he’s from a feral mom cat because he most likely would have needed to be trapped.
Tame kittens do not simply rock up on one’s doorstep, they are either lost or dumped.

If the owners are not found then he’ll be up for adoption in 7 days.
If he does have owners, proof of ownership will need to be provided.

Age: 8-9 weeks at a guess (I have not seen him/ her as yet).

Sebastian is a 9 week old little boy, he was rescued from a busy factory in Umhlali, where he was found all alone!
Sebastian is a happy, chatty kitty, he loves people, and other kittens, and he definitely doesn't like to be alone - if you are his Hoo-man, he wants to be next to you or sleeping on top of you, at all times!😄
Sebastian is adorable, he looks like a little Desert Fox, and he definitely thinks life is more fun with a friend! ❤️
He’s friends with Roxy, also pictured here and they would love to be adopted together.
Roxy is a happy, chatty little girl who “chirrups” and “trills” so you’d have quite an interesting conversion with these two angels!

ADOPTION - DURBAN 🐾💕 💙 🐾

Names: Enzo (male) & CeeCee (female) are siblings.
Age: 10 weeks
Colours: Enzo is a brown tabby, CeeCee is a black and white tabby

Both these beautiful kittens were found in an office complex parking lot at about 7-8 weeks old! The assumption is that they were dumped.

Enzo is such a gentle soul, but loves to play! He loves a good cuddle, and has the most beautiful markings! I can’t describe the beautiful nature of this little boy…he loves to sleep on the pillow above his fosters head!

CeeCee is a beautiful little girl whose transformation from being caught is nothing short of amazing! She was so skittish when she was caught and within a few days was rubbing herself against her fosters legs and pushing her way to the front for loves! She loves to climb and explore and has a tiny little meow! She is very docile and also a gentle little girl!
She is not skittish anymore but does run and hide when startled, so her forever home would need to be a little patient with her for the first week or so!

UPDATE 2:
We are absolutely gobsmacked and so very greatful for the incredible support we’ve received for our little Poppy!
A whopping R6,250.00 has been raised to save her leg and we now await news from the vet to see what can be done and what it’s going to cost.

In the meantime, please hold off on any further donations until we have a clearer idea of the costs involved.

We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts and will update on what the vet says as soon as we have more info.

Poppy was a bit off her food this morning but with a special treat and liquidised chicken, she’s back to eating normally. The heat we’re having can sometimes affect little appetites so it’s imperative that we keep her energy up.
Cathy is doing an amazing job of looking after her and I know that she’s in the best hands possible.
Cathy also advises that the swelling in Poppy’s leg has gone down substantially, which is just what we need to happen.

POPPY - APPEAL FOR FUNDING

Our little foster kitten, Poppy, has broken her knee and because it’s the knee joint and she’s only 6-7 weeks of age, our vet cannot fix it. This would require a specialist vet.

She also had an abscess in the area which was drained today and she will have to be on antibiotics for a week before they can operate.
We are going to have to amputate her leg and we are needing to raise funds for this, which is estimated at R2500.00 to R3000.00 and after having sterilised 5 mom cats; we are broke!
X-rays were done this morning, as per photos attached.

We were about to give our vet the go ahead to put her to sleep as we had nowhere to take her for rehabilitation and one of our fosters put up her hand, literally saving her life by 10-15 minutes.

Crowd-funding is a brilliant way to raise funds for injured animals so we’re asking you to please donate, R50 or R100, they all add up.
If you can’t donate, please share this post so Poppy can have her operation.
Cathy will be looking after her for this week before the op.

Meet Lulu & Eddy!

Lulu - tortie/ torbie female (ADOPTED)
Eddy- (after Ed Sheeran as he’s very vocal) - male ginger with beautiful aqua eyes

Age 8-9 weeks

Sweet little Lulu was passed on from owner to owner because nobody actually wanted her and this spelled disaster for her. We heard about it and took her in.

Eddy was trapped at Durban Country Club by Feral Cat Rescue Trust, Durban, South Africa as a scared little mite hiding under a cupboard in an office. I picked him up from Tracey and took him to our wonderful foster, Jo.

Eddy was a bit nervous and we felt that having a friend would do him the world of good.
Lulu’s arrival has made such a difference in helping him get through his fears.

Sisters, Fleur and Petal, only met by chance and now really good friends. they love to chase each other around their room
amusing themselves till they worn out.
Petal was bottled fed by foster. Cathy from an hour old and is the most gentle loving trusting soul. Fleur came along to join her as the other siblings had flown the nest !
They make a great team together so we would love them to go a loving home. indoor preferable!

lost. A very kind gentleman stopped his car and saved him from getting run over!

Rescued with Mom cat in Umlazi, this delightful little pair of sisters are almost ready for their new home/s.
We like to keep siblings together where possible and it’s always best to adopt two instead of one.
Being an only cat can be lonely!

Foster Jamie was new on the block (but not new to fostering) and was waiting for one or two kittens when this little family appeared on our group and she jumped in!
During this time she found her own kitty, and that’s mom cat Skye 😻

He was found at her Mom’s work, she did the rescue operation and even fostered him.

Binks has made amazing strides under Divya’s care from a hissy little guy to putty in her hands!
