Daniel is currently involved in a training course on rabies in Zimbabwe with the Pasteur Institute and involving representatives from six countries. The field activities included a mass vaccination campaign with a simultaneous and parallel dog sterilization programme run by VAWS. Over 900 dogs were presented to get vaccinated.

It's not all cute puppies and beautiful sunsets. The teams have to be ready to deal with all manners of animal situations.
The dog's ear was treated and its chains removed. And it was vaccinated ❤️

Stage 2 of the rabies project involves a ferry trip to another part of Timor-Leste.
Hundreds of kilometres walked, hundreds of dogs vaccinated, scores of people educated and so many lives changed.
