Desensitization Clinic 14 July 2024 💣

Join us at our very own .hentze hosts a desensitisation clinic! Outside bookings welcome!

What to expect?

With the group session we will be working on the ground first through all the “scary” obstacles, introducing it to your horses and ponies in a quiet controlled environment. Then we’ll give them a break and come back doing the obstacle course ridden.

One-on-one sessions:

This would be for horses who have issues boxing/standing quietly/ ground manners etc. Depending on the horse we can do 2/3 short sessions which combined will be an hour or 1 full session if the horse is struggling to understand what we are asking of them.

The goal with the clinic is to offer tools to be able to work with horses comfortably on the ground, negotiating a scary obstacle wether it be in-hand or ridden.

Prices:
• Group groundwork & ridden: R250
•One-one-one: R400
• Horse/Pony hire (applicable for riding school horses): R200

Depending on the size of the group session we might split the group so that we can give each person as much help as needed 😊

🦄 Date: 18 & 19 December 2023
🦄 Times: 08:30 to 13:00
🦄 Activities: We’ll be doing some riding in the arena, an outride, mounted games, a scavenger hunt and some paddock cleaning 😎

This Pony Camp is aimed at our more advanced riders. Those that can confidently tack up and ride in the bigger arena on their own. It will be more fast paced than the little ones Pony Camp 🦄

🦄 Date: 14 & 15 December 2023
🦄 Time: 08:30 to 12:00
🦄 Activities: Mounted Games, some arts and crafts, scavenger hunt, cleaning up a paddock or two 😉 aswell as turning our beloved riding school ponies into Christmas Ponies on the last day of Pony Camp (we will apologize with lots of carrots 🙈)

This Pony Camp is aimed at out younger riders, those that still need abit of supervision when catching their Pony and tacking up. As well as those that aren't yet at the point of riding confidently in the big arena on their own.
