Join us for our Desensitization Clinic, where we'll help you and your horse work through their vices with confidence!

In our group sessions, we'll work on the ground first, introducing your horse to various challenges in a calm environment, followed by a ridden obstacle course.

For those needing extra attention, one-on-one sessions are also available, focusing on specific issues like standing quietly or improving ground manners etc.

Big future for little Rider Shanoah!! (And of course, let's not forget our main man Prins Cairo)

Our youngest rider with our eldest Horse. 4 Year old Shanoah Van Eeden competed at the "Show your talent National Championships" last week, hosted in Somerset West.

She competed in the photogenic solo category and received gold in all 6 categories.

One of the categories featured the beautiful Prince Cairo from Cadence Equestria in Durbanville. A huge thank you to Juandre from WOLFMEDIA for the winning photo.

Shanoah received Western Province Colours and was also selected for the South African Team to tour to New York in 2025.

Well Done to Shanoah and everybody involved! A special shout out to our old man Prins Cairo who lives to please and LOVES to work!

Desensitization Clinic 14 July 2024 💣

Join us at our very own .hentze hosts a desensitisation clinic! Outside bookings welcome!

What to expect?

With the group session we will be working on the ground first through all the “scary” obstacles, introducing it to your horses and ponies in a quiet controlled environment. Then we’ll give them a break and come back doing the obstacle course ridden.

One-on-one sessions:

This would be for horses who have issues boxing/standing quietly/ ground manners etc. Depending on the horse we can do 2/3 short sessions which combined will be an hour or 1 full session if the horse is struggling to understand what we are asking of them.

The goal with the clinic is to offer tools to be able to work with horses comfortably on the ground, negotiating a scary obstacle wether it be in-hand or ridden.

Prices:
• Group groundwork & ridden: R250
•One-one-one: R400
• Horse/Pony hire (applicable for riding school horses): R200

Depending on the size of the group session we might split the group so that we can give each person as much help as needed 😊
