What a great Sunday it was.

Black Ridge Horse Trails had the privledge of having the East London DRASA (Distance Riding Association of South Africa) Border Club members and some additional riders out on our trails today to have a fun ride to practice for their upcoming Regionals and Nationals.

The riders all had smiles on their faces and the day was a huge success.

Our trails are open to any and all horse owners who want to bring their horses and come over and just have a happy hack or practice for an event.

It is only R50 and there is water for the horses and secure parking.

If you are interested to give DRASA a try and to find out more about the sport, you can even contact Amy Partovi to find out more.

It is for young and old and is truly an enjoyable sport that builds horsemanship.

Thanks to Brumble Berry - Equestrian Photographer for the amazing photos.

When will you stop by? 😉

See if you can spot our sign by the Rieger Group Circle into Gonubie on the main road.

Good afternoon all,

We are based in Gonubie in East London, which is central to most suburbs and even a nice stop if you want to have an adventure with your horse in the Eastern Cape area.

The route we have is about 10km but you can choose to do shorter distances or loop the 10km as many times as you like.

The entrance fee currently is R50 and there is no time limit to that entry fee, so you can go for a leisurely stroll at your own pace.

Feel free to join my whatsapp group for information first hand or you can even message me directly for more information.

After this much needed rain has cleared, I will take a few videos and photos of the route so you know what to expect for your horses specific needs.

Regards

Good evening all,

Black Ridge Horses will start a happy hack trail from the 1st of February to be accessble to the public on a regular basis for riding with your horses.

This map is what the trail is going to look like.

The routes will be even and flat to make it easier for you and your horse to ride and enjoy.

There will be parking space for vehicles with horseboxes

The route will be open to the public from 8 till later in the evening for you to be able to ride any time suitable to you. In summer we can keep the track open till 7 and in winter it will be adjusted accordingly.

We can however only offer these trail rides on certain days and I want to put it to YOU to let me know what days will be more suitable for you and your horsey friends if you were to want to come this way and ride.

Would Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays work?

What other days would you personally suggest?

Any input will be much appreciated as we want to make this route accessible to as many as possible.

The starting fee to use the track will be R50 and there will also be a neatly kept toilet available by the start and stop point. There will also be a water point for the horses if they get thirsty along the way

I'm excited to hear from you all 🙂

Regards,
