Archie says "Hello", Sparkie says "Nope", Archie says "Hi", Sparkie says "Double nope'.....Here we shake paws like ladies!
Archie had the team in stitches trying to greet and befriend Sparkie before his procedure. Sparkie was having none of this young lad's charm this day!
Don't you just admire the way dogs communicate via energy?
When the rules, boundaries and limitations are made clear by the Pack Leader (you), there is no need for dogs to compete for dominance.
The years roll by so fast and our pets' short lives progress so quickly. This year why not make a concerted effort to focus on how much your pet means to you?
This is the perfect time to start a gratitude jar. Each month write down the characteristic you most admire about your pet, that thing that has touched your heart, and pop it into a jar you keep in your living area.
Include the lessons they have taught you during the month - just one of a multitude of lessons we receive from our animals every day - like taking life in their stride, facing their challenges with no fear, or loving unconditionally.
At the end of 2022 you can sit down and open the jar, and relive each of those experiences that made you smile, or made you cry the way only a pet can do. Let's treat them as if their lives are precious, because they are.
