Working on some stranger danger (Human reactivity) in the video, teaching dogs to disengage and become more neutral to things that worry them #dogtraining #Sharpei #Edenvale
Harley has been working with me on his anxiety in certain social situations, we are working here at the top of the stairs he would usually be shouting at this point, as you can see he is coping much better, playing the look at that game. #anxiousdog #coping #dogtraining #understandingdog

We completed our new puppy run at the Mckaynine Edenvale grounds, cannot wait for our first class in them this coming weekend!
A short Video of session 3 with Nikaila and Storm, I was asked to help out with pulling on lead and some nipping when storm gets over excited.
I think we can safely say the loose lead walking is vastly improved.
Awesome work Nikaila and Storm!!
A sneak peak at my Van, OCD warning 🤣
What are your thoughts on Muzzles? I love em, as long as-
- They are appropriately sized.
- They don’t change the dogs behaviour, IE the only thing it does is prevent the dog being able to bite.
- They are properly trained.
- They are not seen as a cure all, rather a safety protocol.
Keep your dog safe.
Keep others safe.
There is just something about that moment when dog and handler are on the same page, I love my job 🐶
A short video i made from a while ago.
I was working on keeping my 6 month old GSD focus and attention around his older sister Mila and Christina and Anna.
He did amazingly well, the important take away from this is that he probably is not at that level at the moment, from an attention perspective.
Adolescence hit him hard.
Does it mean we have failed, not at all.
It just means that until his brain is unencumbered with all the fun things that adolescences has brought with, we work in environments that set him up for success.
It would be easy to take it personally, and hell it can be frustrating, both for him and me.
Does it mean we have stuff to work on, the answer is YES.
The good news is it can be worked on, and i have a little experience with it 😝
