🎆 Storm & Fireworks Season 🎆

We have various over the counter medications ( Nutricalm, Calmeze etc) for pets that have noise phobias. Some need to be given a few days in advance, others need to be given a few hours before the event.

For some pets that are extremely terrified, these may not help . They would need a stronger medication dispensed which can only be given by a veterinarian. Please book a consult with one of our veterinarians to discuss which options would be best.

Holiday Season's around the corner🐾🎉🎄

Just a friendly reminder if your Pets are going to kennels 🐱🐶

Please make sure their vaccines ( 5 in1, Rabies and Kennel Cough for dogs & 3in1 and Rabies for Cats) are up to date before they need to go in.

Some kennels require the vaccines to be done a minimum of 2 weeks before book in date. Check their vaccination cards to see when they were last done.

If need be feel free to call us, to make a booking to update their vaccinations soon 🐶🐱

☀️ Don't forget about your furry and feathered during this heatwave! Keep your pets hydrated with plenty of fresh water, and don't forget to look out for garden birds and small lizards too! They too feel the heat as much as us

Make sure they have access to water by placing shallow bowls in your garden for them to drink and bathe. Every little bit helps to keep them cool and hydrated! 🩵

Make sure dogs and cats have spaces inside that are cool and monitor them if they show any signs of heatstroke ( excessive panting, very red gums, weakness etc). Take your pet to a vet ASAP if you suspect they have heatstroke

Adjust your walking routine to early mornings, if you can't hold your hand on the ground for more than 5 seconds without it burning, it is too hot!

Use dog friendly sun cream for those prone to sunburn and keep them out of the sun in the hottest time of day.

Damp towels to lay on or a small splash pool will be beneficial as dogs cool down from their paws.

Allow the air to circulate in the house with a fan, cats love a cool breeze passing through to help them keep cool 🐾
