Ons het ‘n nuwe lid in die Moregloed span waaraan ons u graag voorstel. Dit is Dr Jonathan Fourie en hy is vanaf 1 Maart 2024 in diens van die Ermelo gemeenskap. Ons heet hom hartlik welkom en hoop hy gaan baie lekker werk in sy ou tuisdorp.

Ons het hom gevra om bietjie meer van homself en sy belangstelling in veeartsenykunde te vertel, sodat ons hom aan u as ons kliënte kan voorstel.

Ek het in Ermelo groot geword en was ook hier op skool gewees in Ermelo Hoërskool.

Die breë spektrum moontlikhede in die beroep en ook die wetenskap agter siektes, reproduksie, probleem oplossing ens het my op Veeartseny laat besluit.

Ek het aan die Universiteit van Pretoria my BVSc graad in 2022 voltooi waarna ek my CCS (staatsjaar) in Elukwatini naby Badplaas voltooi het.
Die staatsjaar leer mens virseker baie geduld en ook om met niks iets te probeer doen nie. Dit was virseker n plek om goeie ondervinding op te doen.

My belangstelling lê in produksie diere. Ek geniet ook om buite in die veld te werk eerder as op kantoor.

Elke beroep d**k ek het sy uitdagings maar mens leer daaruit so die gedeeltes waarvan ek nie hou nie sien ek op die stadium as n leerskool.

Soos u kan hoor gaan hy meer vir onse Dr Ben in die veld bystaan, maar hy gaan ook vir Dr Elana uithelp met kleindiere sodat ons nou elke naweek ‘n veearts aan diens kan hê.
