🎁🎄 All We Want for Christmas Is a Home 🎄🎁

This Christmas, our only wish is simple a loving home for three very special souls. ❤️

These three pups, now about 10 months old, have already lived through more than any puppy ever should. Traumatized as little ones, they’re still learning that not every hand brings harm, that love, safety, and kindness are real.

They are sweet but scared, each taking cautious steps toward trusting the world again. What they need now is more than time, they need someone.
Someone patient.
Someone gentle.
Someone who will show them that they truly belong. 🐾

We’re looking for three very special homes families who can see past their fear and help them blossom into the loving companions they were always meant to be.

🌟 A little late to post, but our hearts are still so full! 🌟

A massive THANK YOU to Pick n Pay Kingsburgh for choosing us as the proud beneficiary of your annual Eats & Drinks event! 💙 The turnout was absolutely amazing, and thanks to your support, R15,000 was raised towards our R35,000 vet bill! 🐾🙏

We are SO grateful for every bit of love, support, and generosity , it truly keeps us going. 💕

We’re still working hard to raise the remaining amount so we can clear our vet bill and get fully back to doing what we love most,helping the animals who need us the most.🐶🐱

Note to Self: You really don’t have to do it all alone! 😅

Sometimes, people expect so much from us animal rescuers that we start believing we HAVE TO handle everything ourselves. But the truth is, even rescuers need a little help now and then! 😉

Take our boy Diesel, for example…
Last week, all the dogs got their tick and flea dip, and of course, Diesel had his turn. But after his shampoo, Mr. “I Don’t Do Water” decided he was done! no rinse, no negotiation. 💦

The result? One very matted furball! 😬
So today, Diesel went to see a qualified groomer who worked their magic and had him looking handsome again in no time. 🐶✨

Lesson learned: Even the best rescuers need backup sometimes because teamwork (and a good groomer) makes the dream work! ❤️

Our brave little fighter, Jackson, needs your love and support right now. 💚

Jackson was rescued last week by the amazing team at Reaction Unit and has already been to the vet, where he started his recovery journey. He’s settling in beautifully full of spirit and a surprisingly big voice for such a tiny pup (just under 2kgs!). 😅🐶

However, during his check-up, we discovered that Jackson’s leg is severely bowed, and affects the way he walks he urgently needs to go back to the vet for X-rays to determine the best course of treatment. 💔

He’s been such a little warrior through everything, and we’re hopeful that with the right care, he’ll get the chance to live a happy, pain free life. 🙏

Please keep Jackson in your thoughts and prayers as we work to get him the help he needs. Every bit of support means the world to him. 💕💪

Happy Birthday, Mama 💐

I could never miss the chance to sing my mother’s praises. She’s never had the easiest life, but she raised us with respect and especially with respect for animals. She taught us the importance of speaking up for those who can not speak for themselves.

She has been the back, front, and center of Cinderella Animal Rescue. This rescue simply wouldn’t exist without her passion, dedication, and love.

Happy birthday, Mummy. Thank you for being my best friend and for saving animals with me. I couldn’t imagine a better way to live this life. ❤️

It’s full bowls and wagging tails here at Cinderella Animal Rescue! 💚

Our dogs enjoyed a delicious meal of pet mince and rice mixed with fresh farm spinach, a healthy, hearty feast that had everyone licking their bowls clean! 🥣🐶

To make it even more special, they also got to enjoy some yummy treats and biscuits generously donated by the amazing team at Pick n Pay Winkelspruit! 🍪🐾

We still need 10 bags of rice and 80kgs of dry food 😬

Welcome to the Cinderella family, little boy

This sweet pup was found all alone and abandoned in a box! Thanks to the kind team from Reaction Unit South Africa and the lady who picked him up and took him in, he’s now safe in our care.

He’s in such a sad state that his little body is covered in mange and sores, and you can see he’s been through so much. But even with all that pain, he’s gentle and just wants to be close to someone. 💔

We’ve promised him that he’ll never be left alone again. On Monday, he’ll be going to the vet so we can start helping him heal. If anyone would like to help us with his vet costs or a bag of puppy. we’d be so grateful ,every small bit helps us get him the care he needs.

Happy Diwali from all of us at Cinderella Animal Rescue

To all our supporters and friends who celebrate, we wish you and your loved ones a joyous, peaceful, and love-filled Festival of Lights.

Diwali is a time to reflect on the triumph of light over darkness, of hope over despair, and of kindness over cruelty. As the Bhagavad Gita teaches us, “A person who is devoted to the welfare of all beings, who is friendly and compassionate, free from pride and selfishness, such a person is very dear to Me.” These words remind us to walk gently through the world, extending love and protection to all living beings, especially the voiceless ones in our care.

While the lights and festivities bring joy to many, they can be frightening and even dangerous for animals. Please keep these tips in mind to ensure a safe Diwali for our furry and feathered friends:

Avoid setting off fireworks near homes, shelters, or places where animals live or roam
Keep your pets indoors during fireworks and play soothing music to help mask the noise
Make sure your animals are microchipped and wearing ID tags in case they get scared and run
Clean up any firework debris that may be harmful if ingested by animals

Let this Diwali be filled not just with lights but with compassion, mindfulness, and kindness.

On Wednesday, I had to say goodbye to one of our sweet babies. What started as a mass that wouldn’t heal turned out to be leukemia. With multiple other masses appearing, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to let him go peacefully.

I try to remind myself that this was an act of dignity, the same kind I would hope for myself if I were suffering. I never let any of my dogs pass away alone. They have me, always.

Some may not understand how deeply you can love a stray you’ve only known for a short time, but the truth is, I see myself as their mother. Each of them becomes a part of me, and losing them never gets easier.

To everyone who supports rescuers, thank you. We pour our hearts into this work, often balancing families, jobs, and everyday life while making these dogs the center of our world. Rescue isn’t just something we do; it’s who we are.

I’ll always wonder if I did the right thing, but I take comfort in knowing I did my best to spare him from pain.
Rest peacefully, my little Snoopy. Mummy tried her best. I hope I didn’t fail you. ❤️

And to Karen Bodamer, thank you for being there for us during this difficult time.

Lastly, a gentle reminder. Many people are quick to ask a thousand questions, but few take the time to check in on a dog or offer help when it’s truly needed. Please remember, we’re here for the dogs, not to entertain endless questions or defend what rescue really means to those who don’t understand it. Ridiculous comments and negativity won’t be tolerated. Rescue work is already heavy on the heart, so please, show kindness and empathy to those doing it.
