Good day everyone,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts and urgent need. It has been a long time since we've posted, as we've been overwhelmed with the immense difficulties of progressing toward the sanctuary we dream of. Moving homes is incredibly challenging, and many of you know the hardships it entails. Relocating our dogs, constructing a new safe and fun space, managing work, and juggling essential responsibilities are proving nearly impossible for us.

We are in a critical situation and desperately need your help. Without immediate support, our dogs will starve. We are pleading for small donations to keep our doors open and to feed and care for the dogs who depend on us.

Here's what we urgently need:
- 15 x 10kg rice
- 6 x 4.2 kg chicken
- 10 packs liver
- 10 packs head and feet
- 20 packs pet mince
- 40kg dry food (any brand)
- ANY VEGETABLES that our babies can eat

While treats are welcome, they are not essential at this dire moment. Our dogs' very survival is at stake.

Please, we beg you to consider helping us. We are in the midst of moving and sorting out the new shelter, leaving us with no resources to fetch food and barely any time to arrange for visitors. Therefore, we will be relying on Takealot orders to receive these vital items.

In addition, we have until the end of this month to pay R6000 towards our vet bill, which has been neglected for months due to our strained circumstances.

Our sanctuary, which was a haven under construction, has been viciously attacked before it even had the chance to open its gates. We were in the process of building everything from the ground up, and now it has all been torn apart.

A devastating break-in has left us reeling, with over R50,000 worth of critical items stolen from us. Our animal rescue organization stands vulnerable and crippled, unable to fulfill our mission without your support.

Our dreams lie shattered around us. Jojo tanks, fencing, building materials - all stripped away in an act of heartless destruction.

This year has been nothing short of amazing!

We're thrilled to announce some major milestones in the development of our new shelter. Here's what's been happening,

1. **Building Complete**: The construction phase is finished, and we're now focusing on securing the premises. We urgently need four very strong gates and secure fencing to ensure the safety of our rescued animals. Just pending insulation, electrical, beds...WE NEED LOTS OF TYRE BEDS! 🙏

2. **Calling Artists**: We're seeking talented artists to collaborate on murals depicting our past rescues on the walls of our shelter. If you know someone who can help, please reach out!

Great news – Winston has beaten parvo and is doing so much better! About a month later, his mange is almost completely gone. He’s a well-behaved, playful, and bubbly little boy looking for his forever home.

Today, we stumbled upon a tiny puppy, barely 8 weeks old, bravely foraging for food, but his frail body was overwhelmed by mange. He was so terrified that he bolted at the sight of us, screaming in terror and leaving a trail of fear-induced p*e behind.

We managed to bring him to safety, providing him with a warm meal and love. However, his journey to recovery is just beginning, and we urgently need your support. Our little guy needs immediate veterinary care, but our funds are stretched thin.

We may never fully understand the trauma this sweet soul has endured in its short life, but what we do know is this: we refuse to give up on them. Despite the fear and pain and growling, Elaine is determined to become a close friend. Together, they're embarking on a journey of healing and trust.
