The practice is equipped with all the necessary equipment to perform our task of caring for your pet, to the best of our ability. This includes digital radiography, ultrasonography, a full in- house laboratory and all the monitoring e

quipment during their stay, to ensure comfort, safety and efficiency. Primary health care and supporting welfare organisations, has and always will be a vital part of our daily practice.

They say it takes a special kind of person to work with animals—patient, compassionate, and ideally someone who doesn't mind the occasional bite, scratch, or unexpected bath. Lucky for us (and your pets), we've got three of the best. Whether your pet's a nervous wreck or a confident Boerboel, these are the guys who'll make sure tails are wagging by the time you leave.

Colin van Koppe has been an integral part of Eden Small Animal Hospital since the clinic first opened its doors in 2021. A George local through and through, Colin's deep love and compassion for animals shine through in everything he does. Outside work, you'll find him enjoying time with friends or indulging his passion for rugby—these days from the sidelines as a retired player.

Terry Abrahams brings over 20 years of animal care experience from his home base of Mossel Bay. He's become our go-to when it comes to handling nervous or anxious animals, combining a compassionate touch with remarkable gentleness. Terry's calm expertise puts both pets and their owners at ease, and his good humor keeps the team's spirits high.

Sinawo Silevu joined Eden Small Animal Hospital in 2025, bringing with him a genuine passion for animal care. Originally from Whittlesea in the Eastern Cape, this 31-year-old has a special appreciation for Boerboels, drawn to their strength and unwavering loyalty. When he's not at the clinic, Sinawo treasures time with his two-year-old son and unwinds by watching the latest films.

We are proud to introduce the people (and pets!) who make Eden feel like home. Meet, Sr Nicole, Melinda and Coco🐾

Sr Nicole has been part of the veterinary world since graduating from Onderstepoort in 2005, and she truly is the heart, soul and glue that keeps our practice running at its very best. A brilliant veterinary nurse with an exceptionally big heart, Nicole treats every pet under her watchful eye as if they were her own. When she’s not caring for patients, you’ll find her spending time with her horses and her Boston Terrier, Maddie, escaping to the Karoo for a well-earned break, or enjoying a well-deserved Sunday afternoon nap.

Coco – aka the CEO of Eden 🐾 has officially retired from her front desk duties, but she remains an essential part of the team. These days, Coco enjoys napping, soaking up the sun in the sunroom, and offering comfort and quiet support to staff members—strictly on her own terms, of course.

Melinda, our dedicated Practice Administrator, keeps Eden running smoothly behind the scenes. With many years of experience in the veterinary field, Melinda brings professionalism, organisation and calm leadership to the hospital. Outside of work, she’s a proud mom of five, a devoted cat lover, and known for her fun-loving nature, warm heart and strong faith. Her commitment to both her work and her family makes her a valued leader and a cherished member of the Eden family.
