Why does mom get her knickers in such a twist when I bring her lovely pressies from the garden? I mean, honestly, I spent AGES stalking that bloody leaf. AGES! And don't get me started on the lizard tail kerfuffle - that was top-notch merchandise, that was!

I'm merely trying to pull my weight in this household, but every time I proudly prance through the cat flap with my findings, she goes all barmy with this daft "WHAT IS THAT?!" shriek. Oi, it's called being thoughtful, mum. 🙄

And yes, those muddy paw prints on the white settee? That's proper interior design.

It is hard work to let broken bones heal again !!
Ask Bella and Dr Spock here .. Bella collided with a car and broke her pelvis in multiple places. A plate and sacro-iliac screw were required to hold everything together and today madam is tracking in the fields again. Dr Spock - not sure how he broke the growth plate in his femur - but a few pins later and the big man was snoring away happily. This would all not be possible without an incredible team and incredible owners, that do the post-operative care !! Thank you !!

Hallo world - my name is Sniffels. I am a handsome boy but I had a few problems. I could not breathe ( my nose was too flat - my nostrils too narrow and my soft palate was way too long and blocking my airways ) and my intestine was bulging out next to my tail ( perineal hernia ) so things were a bit awkward and painful ... The lovely ladies of Odin and the vets at Eden small animal hospital, decided to help met though and I was castrated, my perineal hernia was repaired and all my intestines are now in my tummy, and soft palate was resected and my nose was opened - so now I can breathe normally !! Jippeee hooray - here I come life !!

Dear dad, Zima here. I had a ball playing in the garden, but I think I hurt my eye running into a stick ?
Indeed she did - Zima had a full thickness perforation into the eye and the whole front ( anterior ) chamber had collapsed. She kept on rubbing the eye - it really hurt - and this made the ulcer / hole even bigger. A very delicate conjunctival flap was created from the tissue around the eye, and this was sutured onto the cornea with very fine sutures - almost like a "living plaster" to plug the hole. The eye was inflated again and madam was officially discharged today with vision restored and a healthy graft nourishing the cornea !! Well done madam pumpkin ...

Thank you nurse Nicole - here she is playing with Jack, who is being discharged tomorrow - but spending time with them and nursing and loving them is such a vital part of their successful recovery .... after nearly 2 weeks he is almost part of the "furniture " .. Fly high big boy !!

Little Pixie had a bit of a delicate operation yesterday - her tail folds were too deep around her little tail ( Frenchie / Bostons / Bulldogs / Pugs ) and became repeatedly infected and we did a tail fold resection yesterday to alleviate and cure the condition. Well done madam Pixie - wishing you a speedy recovery ...

Whilst we're all tucking into our festive treats and indulgent nibbles, it's important to remember that our furry friends need to stick to their regular, healthy diet to avoid poorly tummies and unnecessary vet visits.

Rather than sharing your mince pies and Christmas pudding with your four-legged family members, treat them to some pet-friendly goodies from the local pet shop - they'll be just as chuffed and much better off for it!

Other healthy treats can include pieces of apples, green peas, carrots, green beans, water melon and blueberries.

Whilst you're rushing about buying pressies for everyone, your furry friend is probably dreaming of the most brilliant gift of all - that expensive cat bed you bought being ignored in favour of the cardboard box it came in. Perhaps this year, skip the fancy pet boutique and just wrap up an empty Amazon box with a ribbon - guaranteed to bring more joy than any posh pet gadget in the shops!

Tonight we would like to pay tribute to a beautiful young Schnauzer boy, named Gunther. He was deeply loved by his mommy and they did absolutely everything together. 🥲💔
Devastatingly, he lost his fight after ingesting just too many SLUG PELLETS - it proved just too much for his little body. Slug pellets are HIGHLY toxic to our pets - any animal for that matter. They contain a chemical, called metaldehyde and despite their unusual color, they are salty and there is very little that will deter an inquisitive young boy from tasting and ingesting them.
Why are we sharing this - to CREATE AWARENESS !!
This common store-bought product has already cost so many lives - just because people did not realize how terrible and toxic they are!!
Instead of throwing stones, share this story and hopefully we can save a life !! 🌿🌞
