A WHISKERING AFFAIR
π± Did you know your cat's whiskers are basically their personal navigation system? These aren't just adorable face decorations - they're like kitty superpowers!
Your cat uses these amazing sensory tools to measure spaces (that's why Fluffy knows exactly if she'll fit in that tiny box!), detect air movements, and even sense nearby objects in the dark. Think of them as nature's version of a high-tech radar system!
Next time your furball is doing their signature whisker twitches, you'll know they're actually gathering important info about their surroundings. Pretty neat, right?
Fun fact: cats can get "whisker fatigue" from deep food bowls - that's why some cats prefer eating from flat plates! π½οΈ
Does your cat do anything quirky with their whiskers? Tell me in the comments! πΊ

Cheers to all our fellow braai lovers! Let's fire up those grills and celebrate in true South African style. Wishing you all a sizzling Braai Day filled with good company, delicious food, and memorable moments.
Also, just a reminder to spend plenty of time with Fido and Garfield but please do not give them bones as a treat.

Librela !!! What an amazing treatment option we have now for osteoarthritis !!
Meet Mr Marshmellow. He is a very shy gentle little man and circumstances forced him to have to live in a large cattery. This caused high levels of stress and eventually chronic urinary problems (FLUTD) with repeated episodes of his bladder / urethra getting blocked with crystals. This eventually led to a stricture (narrowing by scar tissue) which prevented him from urinating. A PERINEAL URETHROSTOMY was performed (was basically created a female like opening to urinate) and he has since been discharged and has been placed with a foster with his best friend - where he can now eventually start living in stress free, loving environment and being able to urinate when he wishes !!
Look at this brave boy - Milo sits to have his teeth cleaned EVERY day and absolutely loves this time with his mommy!! She started doing this from day 1 and has never let go. This is still the best way to keep your pets' teeth clean and prevent calculus and tartar from building up and leading to decay. Remember to use pet tooth paste or gel !!
Madam Coco 10 days post op ...
Hope your day is this much fun π
We are about to ruffle a few feathers but try and stay objective and keep animal quality of life at the centre of it all.
Ziva spent all her days protecting her mom and her sister and this required barking at everyone and everything. It was becoming a major problem though - neighbours are not always understanding and one can only take so many complaints and threats. With anxiety levels at a peak and all other measures trialed and exhausted, euthanasia was tabled as a final option. A surgical treatment was suggested and performed - basically the folds with which her bark was generated, were removed through a small inscision in her neck. She can bark at everyone with a huge sense of achievement minus the distress. Instead if reprimand, there is now acceptance and love and she is still able to do what she loves - to protect her family.
