Luxuriously Layered Apple Caramel Cheesecake
This recipe creates a stunning cheesecake with a buttery graham cracker crust, a creamy caramel and apple filling, and a decadent caramel sauce topping.
Ingredients:
Crust:
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Cheesecake Filling:
24 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
3 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for topping)
Apple Layer:
1 cup apple pie filling
1 apple, chopped (for garnish)
Garnish:
Chopped apple
Crumbled graham crackers
Extra caramel sauce
Instructions:
Preheat and Prep: Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
Make the Crust: Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a medium bowl. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of your prepared pan to form the crust.
Whip Up the Creamy Filling: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth and delightful. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in vanilla extract and sour cream until everything is well combined.
Assemble the Layers: Pour half of the cheesecake batter onto the prepared crust. Dollop the apple pie filling evenly over the batter. Drizzle generously with caramel sauce. Top it all off with the remaining cheesecake batter.
Bake to Perfection: Bake the cheesecake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set and the edges are lightly golden brown. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside with the door slightly ajar for 1 hour.
Chill and Thrill: Take the cheesecake out of the oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or ideally overnight, for the flavours to meld beautifully.
Luxurious Finishing Touches: Before serving, adorn your masterpiece with chopped apple pieces, crumbled graham crackers, and an extra drizzle of caramel sauce.
