They all ate on the same day as well.

This puts us on a group of 8 Captive born animals to work with!

Bitter sweet moment today.
With 4 live and 3 stillborn Atheris ceratophora

It sucks that they are all not alive and well
But 4 more ceratophora in the world is never a bad thing!

Besides we have some hope that 3 more females might be packing some babies!

Sternfeldi batch number 3!
Very happy with the fact we have had 3 sets born
But sadly this batch was not as good as the previous 2
This time 12 babies but sadly 2 stillbrons and 2 or 3 look a bit weak, but might be due to being super fresh and tired

But that should be it on sternfeldi babies.
Now to get them raised up!

Very exited about this clutch of eggs.

This morning we suspected it to be less than 24 hours away with her positioning and behavior
This evening she had laid a stunning clutch (looks to be 7 eggs)

To our knowledge this is a SA first

Very exited to have the opportunity to bring more of these in to the hobby, as this pair as far as we know are the only 2 in SA

Trioceros is an amazing genus of chameleon with a diverse range of size shapes and colours.

We are super stoked to get eggs from these guys.
It's been many many years since they have been produced in SA (if memory serves over 10 years if not a bit more)

We will definitely be holding back some for future projects that we can pair to unrelated animals we already work with.

The Ovophis genus is a group we are super fond of and very happy to be working with 3 of the species.
We also hope that in future we can get hold of more species

They are incredibly fascinating in many ways

She has consistently been putting on weight while not feeding at all.
