If you look good, you will feel wonderful. To keep your pet's coat healthy and pleasant, schedule frequent grooming appointments.
Pet coats will matt if not kept clean and brushed on a regular basis. These matts are painful and can lead to skin infections that are difficult to detect beneath the matted coat.
Our groomers are professionally trained to take the best care of your pets. And for those difficult babies that stress so terribly, we can offer sedation by our vets to make the experience stress free.
Book a grooming session at Cottage Vet and let us turn those tails into wagging wonders! 🐾

Life threw a curveball at our brave fur baby, Lucy, when she was diagnosed with aggressive skin cancer on her little leg. 🦴 At Cottage Vet, we thrive on making the impossible possible, and Lucy's case was no exception.
We utilized cutting-edge techniques, including skin grafts and flaps, to navigate the challenge of removing sizable skin cancers on tiny legs. Lucy's journey from shoulder to leg resulted in an incredible healing transformation! 🌈
This serves as a powerful reminder to address growths on our pets' legs promptly. Early detection is crucial, and even small growths can leave significant wounds. With patience and veterinary expertise, we turn challenges into stories of hope and triumph. 💪🏼
Lucy's indomitable spirit is an inspiration, proving that with love, dedication, and the right team, we can overcome the toughest challenges. Cheers to Lucy! 🐶💖

During this season, pets often face issues with grass seeds picked up during walks or while sniffing around in the garden. These tiny culprits can cause various problems depending on where they lodge:
👃 NOSE: Sudden, severe sneezing (sometimes with blood)
👂 EAR: Head tilted, pawing, and head shaking
👁️ EYE: Keeping the eye closed
🦶 SKIN: Usually on the foot, forming a small wound or blister
Immediate removal is crucial to prevent irritation and tissue damage. Luckily, Cottage Vet is the only clinic equipped with a scope for nasal examinations and a sensitive ultrasound for detecting hidden seeds.
Check out Dr. Morné in action as he removes a grass seed from a dog's nasal passage in the video! 🌱

When her owners noticed that "Kitty" wasn't eating well, they brought her in for a check-up. The majority of her exam was normal, but during an additional examination, we discovered an abnormal structure in her stomach.
Gastric foreign bodies can be difficult to detect due to the wide range of symptoms; if left untreated, they can have devastating consequences.
We are happy to report that “Kitty” is doing well and is happy and healthy back home.
