We were proud to host our second Overberg Vet Social last night at The Hussar Grill Hermanus. These evenings bring local vets together for connection, collaboration, and learning - with each event featuring a new lecture.

Although there have been no positive Distemper cases in Grabouw yet, we encourage all clients to please make sure your dog's vaccine are up to date! If unsure, please call us to double check.

Symptoms to look out for: Loss of appetite, high temperature and nasal discharge. More advanced signs include muscle & eye twitching.

If you suspect your dog, or a stray dog may have distemper, please phone us or Grabouw Animal Welfare Society immediately.

📢 KENNEL COUGH ALERT 📢

We've seen a few cases of kennel cough over the past 2 days, please ensure your dog's vaccines are up to date. The kennel cough vaccine is not included in the normal annual vaccines, it is a separate vaccine.

What to look out for: DRY HONKING COUGH.

If you suspect your dog may have kennel cough, please phone us for an appointment. Also keep them away from other dogs if possible, it is very contagious.
