MOM MAKES IT BETTER 💕
Zuki was sterilized while she was on heat and was returned home after surgery. Her owner phoned to say she wasn't looking good and wasn't eating either. The SPCA Grahamstown collected her from home - she was looking very flat - and rushed her to the vet clinic. Zuki was given a clean bill of health but kept overnight for observation. She still wouldn't eat so we decided to bring her mom to visit....
Then the sun started to shine in Zuki's life☀️, she lifted her head and wagged her tail.
Mom was equally pleased to see her and the vet said she could go home. Zuki possibly had a bit of a hormonal imbalance from being on heat, but she has since made a full recovery and is eating well again.
Thank you to the Good D.O.G. fund from Animal-Kind International for covering Zuki's spay and veterinary treatments!

FINN & RILEY ARE STILL WAITING
Mom Molly has just been adopted💕 (we will share a lovely story about her soon), but sadly the adoption application for her pups, Finn and Riley, has been withdrawn🐶🐶.
They are adorable bundles of Collie X (plus or minus- you decide)! They will need lots of love, stimulation, exercise and training, and be treated as family members.
For adoption enquiries please WhatsApp June 0833764175 or contact Lee at the kennels 046 6223233. Only applications within the SPCA Grahamstown area of operation will be considered as they are too young to sterilize.

DOKI IS NEUTERED✨
Doki was neutered as part of the Good D.O.G. fund from Animal-Kind International. Now Doki can retire from chasing after the girls and keep out of trouble with the boys! Sterilization saves lives!

CHOCKIE IS SPAYED💕
Chockie received a warm welcome home from her owners after her spay. Chockie was another lucky dog to benefit from the Good D.O.G. Fund from Animal-Kind International. Sterilization saves lives!

VISIT THE AMAZWI HERITAGE MARKET ON 20 SEPT☕🍰🍪🍫
Date: Saturday, 20 Sept
Time: 9am to 1pm
Venue: Amazwi, 25A Worcester Street, Westhill

Our volunteers will be hard at work:
TEA STALL
Tea, Coffee, fresh Scones with Jam & Cream, Choc Cake and other treats.

POP-UP STALL:
Treasures, fabric, great books as well as children's books, and more!
Card facilities available at both stalls!
(Our Charity Shop will be open on Sat 9am to 1.30pm too!).

UPDATE ON WINSTON GEORGE💕
When "Old Man" came to the SPCA kennels he was the saddest little dog - his owner had died, the neighbours were feeding him scraps and life was scary.
Little did he know that his life would change into a fairytale✨.
Early in 2024, he was adopted by the White family, re-named Winston George White, moved to a castle and gets to sleep on a princess' bed! A real, happy ever after story!

DONKEY DAYS🫏
The SPCA Grahamstown was called to assist with a limping donkey on a cart. Inspector Matthews removed the donkey from the cart and donkey was taken in for treatment.
Thank you to SAPS Stock Theft for assisting our staff and to Sean Warren for the loan of his trailer.

OREO HAS BEEN ADOPTED⭐
Oreo was surrendered to the SPCA Grahamstown as her family situation had changed. She was not happy in the kennels and after 2 unsuccessful meet and greets with other dogs, the decision was made to rehome her to a single dog household only.
Then Morgan and Fynn arrived offering an only-dog household, and the rest is history!
Thank you for adopting this special girl! May you and Oreo share many happy years together!
