Competing in qualifiers in Provinces where a rider is not attending school :
There is no limit on the amount of qualifiers you can compete in out of Province, but a horse/rider combination can only compete in up to 8 SANESA qualifiers. Individual points and school points are obtained for each horse rider combination and belong to the rider and school. When Provincial Teams are selected for Nationals, riders are selected to represent the Province in which they school. Riders who participate in qualifiers in their school Province will be favoured over riders who participate out of Province. This does not mean that a rider who participated out of Province will not be selected but that if 2 riders have similar points at the end of the season and there is only 1 slot left for the team, the rider who qualified in Province will take preference to the rider who qualified out of Province.
