We offer riding lessons on well schooled horses by a qualified instructor. We also offer outrides. N The yard welcomes any rider from the age of 3 years to adult.

Carlisle also welcomes happy hackers and those who simply wish to learn how to ride a horse and not compete. Lessons are either structured group lessons or private lessons. Livery. The well-being of all horses under our care is paramount, whether it is our school ponies or your private horse. Our grooms have many years of experience and have a keen eye for picking up any problems a horse may have timeously. Horses receive round the clock care. Outrides. Outrides for the general public are arranged on request, the horses used for these outrides are well schooled, calm and experienced. The yard also offers two annual endurance events. A shorter ride for the little ones or those who are not yet competent in canter and a three-day ride for the more advanced riders. Furthermore, the yard offers moonlight outrides in the warmer months, which is a magical experience. Pony camps. Carlisle hosts two pony camps during the December/January school holidays. These are guaranteed to be fun filled and educational for the children under 24 hour adult supervision. Ponies are available for children’s parties or the yard can be used as a venue for your child’s birthday party at our lapa and farmyard. The yard is also a beautiful location for photo shoots (matric farewell, Valentine’s ball, weddings, etc…). Carlisle Stud and Equestrian Park offers the following facilities:
- 22 large airy brick stables
- 22 large airy wooden stables
- 1 sand arena
- 1 split-level derby arena
- 2 lunge arenas
- Free jump lane
- Group paddocks
- Individual paddocks

The following facilities are currently under construction (construction scheduled to be completed soon):
- 2 tack rooms
- A clubhouse lounge
- A bathroom with shower facility
- A small kitchen with coffee and tea making station
- A hospital block with a foaling block, solarium, crush and isolation stable

Well done Adrienne! Adrienne competed at the 2024 Discovery SA Adult Eventing Championship in George last week. She is officially the double SA champ winner.
🏆In the CCI***S open SA champs class, Adrienne won on Just Jasper with 37.2 penalties.
🏆Adrienne and Gondor Penelope won the CCN*S mini SA champs class with 33 penalties.
➡️With this Adrienne is the:
🟢Youngest rider to start SA champs
🟢Youngest rider to win SA champs
🟢First athlete in South African history to win both open and mini champs at same show in the same year
🟢First rider to have won the triple, having won PONY RIDER OPEN SA CHAMPS (on Waterford Chocolate) in 2022, JUNIOR OPEN SA CHAMPS in 2024 and ADULTS OPEN SA CHAMPS in 2024

Anyone who rides at Carlisle know the dedication Adrienne has to her sport, she is extremely hard working and that on top of that has a very special talent, we are so proud of her and her super horses!

Hoër Volkskool Heidelberg kan nie anders as om te "brag" met ons ruiters nie! Ons Volkies is vir die verskeie dissiplines in Gauteng spanne gekies, en het tydens die vakansie deelgeneem aan SA's waar hulle puik presteer het:
• Lalie van der Merwe het aan die vlak 2 – “Dressage” en die vlak 3 – 75cm “Eventing” disscipline deelgeneem.
• Casey-Leigh Smit is vir die vlak 3 – 75cm en vlak 7 – 105cm “Eventing” spanne gekies, en het aan die vlak 3 – 75cm “Eventing” deelgeneem en behaal ‘n 2de podium plek.
• Kayla Strauss het aan die vlak 1 – “Western Mounted Games” deelgeneem en behaal ‘n 19de plek.
• Leane Pienaar het aan die vlak 4 – “Equitation” deelgeneem en behaal ‘n 7de Plek.
• Jana Potgieter behaal ‘n fantastiese 1ste podium plek in die vlak 7 – “Gaited Performance”, asook ‘n 2de podium plek in die vlak 7 – “Gaited Equitation” afdeling.
• Thiane Hall is vir die vlak 5 – 85cm “Eventing” span gekies, maar kon ongelukkig nie tydens die SA’s deelneem nie.

A massive CONGRATULATIONS to Adrienne and Gondor Penelope who won the CCN2*S class, with 31.7 penalties, today at Pondarosa Ranch in Nelspruit! This was also Gondor Penelope's 1st CCN2*S class! Adrienne also won the 75cm class on Flying Fantasy with 35.3 penalties!
