This is a special plea for lots of shares to hopefully reach the right family.

Our vet Dr Michelle assisted 3 dogs earlier this year who were working as anti-poaching dogs in the Congo. The farm closed down, and she imported all three to try and help them.

The two Malinois found a home, but Stix the Basenji is still in need of a home.

He did have an amazing home with a wonderful family where the husband also manages a reserve and was able to work with Stix, but unfortunately Stix is not dog friendly and after months of trying, he had to return him with tears rolling down his eyes.

Stix does mingle with female dogs at the vet, but the ideal home would be as an only dog as he is quite reactive.
Everything is fine, but when there are some triggers like too much human affection being handed out, or a very bossy dog he can be very reactive, and Stix is not a scared dog! He is clearly a very brave boy!

Stix is not a youngster but still very active and hopefully there is a family out there who is familiar with the breed and would enjoy a trained Basenji ❤

Remember the welcome post for Pauline Burrows new horse, Gunston, shared a little while ago?

Below, see the incredible transformation that Gunner (as he is now affectionately known) has undergone after only three weeks of TLC and the extremely hard work that his new owner has put into him. She has been following the rehabilitation guidelines set out, and has been implementing all the techniques that she has learned religiously. Notice especially how Gunner was unable to stand square in photograph one vs his improved posture 3-weeks later!

We can’t wait to see how he continues to improve going forwards.
