What common conformation is Coco the dachshund exhibiting in her forelimbs?
Sometimes, you’ve got to lay back and enjoy the #sundaysunshine (even if there isn’t any).
Mr Geronimo is in session for his bilateral patella luxation (one post-op) and his bilateral elbow dysplasia. Despite his many diagnoses, he’s still lying with his tummy in the air, enjoying the warmth.
Be like Geronimo.

This gorgeous, magnanimous old boy is called Dollar. Dollar is a chill dude, but he has been diagnosed with a double lumbar disc protrusion. We are also waiting to receive blood tests that will tell us whether or not Mr Dollar has DM (degenerative myelopathy). Once we know what condition is bothering Dollar the most, we will better be able to decide how to proceed with his treatments. For now, Dollar will receive TENS for pain, EMS for muscle stimulation, lots of beautiful laser therapy, kinesiotaping and exercise therapy.

It’s been awhile since we had a good Zigi pupdate!
This sweet boy became a patient of mine when he was only a few months old. Not only was he suffering from major ‘growing pains’ (in dogs, these conditions are known as physitis, epiphysitis and panosteitis), but he had a cruciate ligament injury on one side as well, rendering him practically 3-legged lame. Alongside his super dedicated mom and proficient veterinary team, we collaborated towards a future where Zigi didn’t have to have surgery. Initially, the goal was to keep him comfortable until he became old enough for the operation, around 18 months, but Zigi continued to thrive well beyond all expectations. Today, he is a handsome (and massive) young Pyrenees who continues to be a testament to the power of a good care team. He lives a full and happy life on the farm where he is sound and comfortable, and gets one maintenance physiotherapy session each month.
Below, Zigi demonstrates his prowess on the double BOSUs. In the beginning, this poor boy could not even manage himself on one ball, now he is a pro.

Turtle Day!
Eva loves her physio, but she loves her teddies more! Today’s pick was a very well-loved turtle. Very subtle! Very demure! #theanimalphysioco #animalphysiotherapy #frenchiesofinstagram #frenchbulldog
Rainy day ASMR of Megan doing her BOSU work. Megan is a long-term maintenance case working on developing spinal stability and hindquarter muscle strength. Her dad is extremely dedicated and the results show. My clients know that I can only achieve so much in my sessions - what you do at home makes a big difference!!
Much like a wallet, my BOSU ball is my ‘take everywhere’ piece of exercise equipment. It accompanies me to every appointment, and has for the last six years. It is as versatile a piece of small-animal equipment as you can get, and can be used in almost all patient situations to achieve all manner of goals. My own little blueberry has seen SO many paws over time, it has even become a little warped, but that just adds to its charm!
Let Griff teach you how to play the hot and cold game. This is an awesome activity for dogs who are on crate rest and cannot move around too much.
Did you know? 🐰
