Hi All Equestrians, Ulwazi Farm will be Hosting Showing Working Hunter Classes, on Sunday 19th March 2023 @ Ulwazi Farm as no working Hunter Classes are on offer @ the Royal Show grounds on Saturday 18th March 2023 due to logistics with equipment. Please check the Showing online Entry system and get your entries in asap. For those riders Showing on Saturday, 18th March, we have stabling available if you need to overnight. Ulwazi Farm is also Hosting Equitation Classes following the Working Hunter Classes for Riders needing to obtain Quailifying rounds for Selection for Youth Champs in July. The Schedule and entry forms should be up on the Equitation page. Happy Riding ...

Hi All Equestrians, I have sent out the Riding order for the weekend. Sunday 24th April @ Ulwazi Farm via email. Any mistakes please let me know?? Think I have not forgotten anyone, Corrections/Changes can be made on Sunday with Tina and Charlotte @ The Judged table. Thank you travel safely and we will see you on Sunday.
For those stabling. I have written your or your horses name on the black stable bib.
Dragon's Lair is @ the end of the block of stables, at the back with no horse behind him in the front row as requested. Plenty of parking for horse boxes behind the stables if your horses are Stabling overnight or park at the end of the Sand arena.

Hi All Eventers as you know Oaksprings Eventing have moved their Show to 7/8th May, so Ulwazi Farm is moving to 4/5th June.. 23 April open Cross Country Training day and fun Show Jumping Stadium eventing show on Sunday 24th April. if you have not had the schedule leave me your email address and I will forward it to you..

Sessions with Gus or myself (Individual R300, group sessions R275), or come with your own Instructor (ground levy R150 per horse rider combo) get in some Refresher Cross Country training ahead of the hectical Eventing Calendar.... To All the Riders who came to have fun @ Ulwazi Farm yesterday, Good Job everyone. Lots of laughter, thrills a few unexpected Spills, no major injuries.. lots of fun in the Sun!! We had lovely warm weather and have woken up to grizzly cooler morning. Thank you to Tina and Charlotte who kept the Show Flowing and without whom, we would not have any shows!! Thank you to everyone for their patience, endurance and fortitude!! Ulwazi Farm wishes you all a Wonderful Festive Christmas and we will see you all in the New Year. Show dates for 2022 will be out soon once we have spoken to other Show Holding Bodies in the Midlands so we can avoid clashes of Dates!! Happy Holidays, safe travels and Keep Safe everyone!!! Job Well done to Jo Hope of Emmatt Eventing, Edwina Fletcher, Wayne Thurgood, Sue Gilliatt, Mrs Strachan, Jenny Dempsey - Commentating and keeping the Dressage on Track. Alison Hyde, Sam Habbermann in the office Checking Tests and scores. Mrs Ford - Time Keeping for Cross Country, with another young lady, whose name I cannot remember, together with the Starter of Cross Country and the staff of Shongweni who also make up an important part of the team. Gwen From Underberg who commentated throughout the weekend. A Fantastic weekend of Thrills and spills.. Laughter and Tears, but most importantly everyone was having Fun with their Horses!!! Till the Next Show.. Ulwazi Farm will definitely Include a 45/55 Getting Going Class next year.

Hi All Equestrians, okay due to availability of Show Jumping Judges we are going to Have our Fun Crazy Christmas Hat Show on Sunday 12th December. Anyone wanting to overnight their horses and do some Cross Country Training on the Saturday we will be booking group lessons closer to the time. Fun for young horses to train then compete and consolidate the next Day!!! Schedule out soon..

Hi All Equestrians, Spring is upon us the grass is green and growing!! Here at Ulwazi we are hoping to have a Fun Show Jumping Training Show towards the end of the Year, but with so much on the go I am putting out feelers!! Do Saturdays or Sundays work best for most?? Weekend 11/12th December.. Some Training Show Jumping Lead Rein Pole on the Ground to 1m and some Stadium Eventing - 40cms to 1m. leave your email address and day of preference!!

Hi All Equestrians, well the less said the better about the last week we have all experienced.. We are all well and safe here on the farm. Keeping warm, ticking over the horses/ponies. Getting our AHS vacs done so when the madness passes as it shall, we can get back to enjoying our Horse and having some fun with them.. Been building some fun new jumps for beginners so plenty to play with when you want to come and have some fun in the sun!!! We are looking at dates for a Fun Training Show Jumping/ Arena Eventing Show end of August/September. Still to confirm dates.. Early Bird Stabling Booking for Ulwazi Farm Eventing Show, wkd 8/9th May 2021.
We are building 10 more stables for the Show in May, giving us a total of 42 stables. If you would like to book and pay for stables by the end of the month or before the Schedule goes Online (R350), you pay last years Wkd Stabling rates - R300.
This will assist us in buying the poles we need for Construction now, so we can get on and get the stables finished, leaving plenty of time for building jumps etc.
Please email [email protected] and Request the 2021 Stabling form. 1st paid and booked stables get preference.
As stables are booked, the number available decreases so no over booking.
If for any reason, you book/pay for stables and cannot attend the Show, you/we can sell on, your stable for you.
Please put any Special requests in writing - end of block, escape artist, not near mares, with friends (name) as sharing Groom.
We have a few stables with extra poles, so you can request extra poles for the hard to keep in Horses.
A piece of shade cloth 3 x 3.6ms and cable ties, is a must in our show box, always useful to ensure your horse gets a good nights rest, without a pesky equine neighbour sticking his head over into your horses stable and disturbing him.
