Welcome to Snowgoose Hangabout. We are situated in a little village called Himeville which is nestled below the Southern Drakensberg in KZN, South Africa. Our shop is a mixture of a Rustic Kitchen, Deli Trading Store and Bistro Cafe' (anything goes) an ecclectic and peaceful vibe. In time we hope to develop a beer and Wine Garden outside all dependant on that elusive Liquor Licence. The trading st

ore sells anything from Imported jackets for our very cold snowy days, to Basutho blankets (as Lesotho is our next door neighbour) to chill out pants, hammocks, hanging chairs, cast iron traditional stoves, moving into our rustic kitchen and deli..great cappuccino's, delicious take away meals,mountain subs, vetkoek, pate's,nuts and fresh trout, deli rolls, delicious biscuits and rusks and organic granola ,yummy cake and muffins to herbs and spices,intrepid iced teas wandering back to fingerless gloves to free range chicken and duck to light happy meals from Breakfast to Lunch to tea time treats. Daily specials abound and You have to try our goosealicious cappuccino which hosts a yummy secret ingredient. At best we are ecclectic, happy, funky, kind. spiritual, random. and colourful.....our mission statement is to practise "Random acts of Kindness "....at worst ...hmmmm...we hate gossip and living in a small town there is a rather large amount of it. We respect all that populate our planet , love dogs who are most welcome to our Hangabout and hope you enjoy the experience when visiting us.

So....today we closed our doors...time to fly onto new adventures🤩 Snowgoose will always hold a special place in my heart...lots of wonderful memories and happy moments.

wow what an interesting week....our closing down sale has elicited a great response...many many tks to all concerned.
we still have interesting bits and pieces left including a great shop counter and welsh dresser.
all fridges freezers tables ,kitchen counters ,deli fridge outside tables, ice maker, fan mister,most kitchen ware ,most of the coffees , record player and records..all ola stuff moved to a great new location.. etc have gone.
we will remain open from 9am to 1pm mon to fri till end of april if u feel the need to browse for a good deal😎

The COUNTDOWN has begun......
from the 4th april the SNOWGOOSE CLOSING DOWN sales will begin.
THe shop will be open from 9am to 2pm each day with darling gladys in attendance.
All stock shop fittings and fixtures will be at very reduced prices , lots at less 50% and cash or efts accepted.
We will be spreading our wings at the end of april with the Seychelles..then Greece being our first stops......"happy snowgoose dance"👐...but also write this with a big lump in my throat and a lot of sadness😢 at closing our funky off the wall little shop...so many people were
interested in taking it over but sadly couldnt raise the money🤔...so the very hard decision to close....we have had so many loyal and fascinating customers who have become friends and we thank you for your patronage and regular visits...we hope we have brightened your days a bit and wish all our customers a heartfelt peaceful happy future with lots of sprinkles of magic and laughter thrown in for good measure🤗

AS i have posted before Snowgoose is spreading her wings and will be flying to all sorts of interesting corners on the earth this year🤔 which puts our shop in a bit of a spot🤔 so we put this thought out there.. for anyone want to take over this little bit of magic? buy it..all stock fixtures and fittings.. or do we close it...AND had lots of interest and 2 very serious buyers but they couldnt raise the cash needed to buy it outright unfortunately...sooosad but snowgoose has to travel this year...hmmm🤔.staff dont want it closed and it is such a sweet spot❤....so going to leave it open till around end april may and if anyone could be interested in discussing options please inbox me ...🤗 otherwise we will be closing😟 and will have a massive celebratory sale....tks everyone
