The ProDressage team is delighted to profile another one of our Joburg riders, Catherine Berning and her gorgeous Bravado, riding in the Jean Bemelmans Masterclass at Manor D'or Exclusive Equine Management. Here is what she has to say in her own words: I have always had a deep passion for horses, starting my riding journey even before I could walk. Horses have significantly shaped my life, and I am truly thankful for their influence. A highlight of my career was winning a Grand Prix in Darmstadt, Germany. I have been fortunate that many of my best horses have come to me throughout my journey. I believe in establishing a strong bond with them, which has been crucial to my success. I continue to learn and wholeheartedly enjoy every step of this journey. My horse, Bravado, boasts an impressive breeding lineage that includes Flemmingh HOLST and the KWPN Sire of the Century, Nimmerdor KWPN. He is set to uphold the legacy of his exceptional sire, Bacio KWPN. Since I acquired him at the age of four, he has developed a special connection with me, often calling out when I enter the barn. Bred and trained by Adelprag. He is a Friesian/Warmblood cross gelding. He is now 13yrs old and currently riding (Baby 🤭) Big Tour. Working on better transitions between piaffe and passage and one-tempis.
Adelprag Maximus
Bred and trained by Adelprag. He is a Friesian/Thoroughbred cross gelding. He turns 12yrs on the day of his lesson (Friday) and currently riding (Baby 🤭) Big Tour. Working on getting the one-tempis smaller.
Adelprag Tizian is an Imported Friesian Stallion. He is 10yrs old. Will probably start in Medium Tour next year. We are a new combination. Working on relaxation and to trust me more coz he can become very tense and unsure. He has come a long way already and has a bright future ahead of him.
