The animals in this Photo Album, are animals found as strays and brought into our Johannesburg shelter. They will be kept for a period of 14 days as a stray. Should they not be claimed by their rightful owners during this time, they will then be placed up for adoption. All animals will remain with us as long as possible. Please contact us at 011 435 0672 or email [email protected].

Photos in this album are taken of the stray animals as soon as they arrive at our premises. This is to enable the owners to hopefully identify their pets immediately. All animals will be groomed as soon as possible.

Every year during firework season, many pets—both dogs and cats—become confused and anxious, often escaping from their homes due to fear. In fact, more pets go missing on firework nights than at any other time of the year.
To keep your pets safe, please ensure they are microchipped or have clear identification on their collar tags. If your pet is microchipped, take a moment to verify that your contact details are up to date with your microchip provider.
As a responsible pet owner, it is your responsibility to ensure your pets are secure and safe at all times. Remember that, according to City of Johannesburg bylaws, fireworks are only allowed on specific days and at certain times, and violating these rules can result in significant fines.
