Maine C**ns are known as the "gentle giants" and possess above - average intelligence, making them relatively easy to train. They are known for being loyal to their family and cautious - but not mean - around strangers, but are independent and not clingy. The Maine C**n is generally not known for being a "lap cat" but their gentle disposition makes the breed relaxed around dogs, other cats, and ch

ildren. They are playful throughout their lives, with males tending to be more clownish and females generally possessing more dignity. Many Maine C**ns have a fascination with water and some theorize that this personality trait comes from their ancestors, who were aboard ships for much of their lives.

We are delighted to announce the arrival of our first USA litter! After many wonderful years in South Africa, Jaeger Cats Cattery has expanded to the USA. We now have four beautiful Maine C**n kittens available in Atlanta, Georgia.

Our commitment to our beloved cats as well as the Maine C**n breed remains as strong as ever. We continue to provide the same loving care and attention, both in South Africa and the USA.

Our kitten Doron at 6 months. A Gina and Philip boy. He is 45% larger than a standard Maine C**n for his age, by the international sizing chart. He still acts like a baby kitten though and LOVES to stalk and pounce all the other cats. When they hiss and perform he flops down adorably and even our grumpiest cat Emily can’t resist forgiving him.

Women read and write books on how to human like this cat ‘cats.’ She single pawedly raised her kittens, Shayna’s kittens (with some limited assistance from Shayna), and two rescue litters (the other litter having been designated to Shayna). She doesn’t stop! Daily ensures every human gives her sachet or milk EVERY TIME they in the kitchen making coffee (6 times a day X 5 humans) to keep herself strong and sustained, and hard at work the rest of the time! Loving, feeding, licking, cleaning, booping Shayna on the nose when she needs a second set of paws on the job. Incredible cat! Our Anushka!
